You don't need to have coached a top player or a top club before in order to be successful. All you need is understanding of the game, someone who knows what he's doing, tactically sound and ability to read and affect a change.

Instead what Ralf did at small clubs with new players, that command respect from all top clubs and top players. He showed that the game isn't of the top 1% but also of the bottom 1%. For eg. Read what Ralf did at Hofheim, Schalke & two RedBull clubs. Built them from nothing to bringing them to top flight football, champions league semis & what not. United is lucky that we got him. He doesn't come to all clubs. He rejected Schalke move in 2021 and they are going to second flight after being runner up in Bundesliga 2018.

@@bighands69 Non issue, when the distance to Bruno/Sancho is so close due to our high line. That was only a problem when Fred played deep, he could get isolated, didn't have the passing range for an accurate long ball. He is fine at making short passes.

I would not say Ole was clueless he was not the man to take Utd to the next level. Ole built that team of players and when he took over the team was truly terrible and he added the right sorts of players to the team.

Under Ole the team preferred to sit back and hit on the counter and Mike coached with that because it was Ole choice under Rangnick Mike will do as the manager wants.

What's so big deal about pressing. Barca 2010 to 2012 is the best club team in history perhaps and they played possession football. RM played counter attacking mostly, possession even pressing at times different styles from 2016 to 2018, 19 and won 3 UCL and Laliga. So this is not a recipie for success. When that Barca or RM played against these type of teams they always won. So I am not convinced about these style as it can drain the team very quickly and counter attacking teams with great pace can easily hit back.

It happens in football, the days of Barca dominating & destroying everyone with possession is dead, the days of sitting back & counter attacking is dead. Now it’s all about playing out from that back , & having a lethal high press to win the ball back higher up the field. The 4 beat teams in Europe Chelsea, Livepool, City, Bayern are all lethal pressing teams, they never give the opposition a rest

Easy now, even though they’re different coaches with tactics, ole also had an amazing start as well. Just let rangnick cook till the season is over.

A hard won Victory. The Mid field still needs IMPORVEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I like is that we have the best 10 games any new manager would dream of. It's gonna be a wonderful time because most of the team play in their own halves against the traditional big 6 and it'll allow us to play high up the pitch so that when we play against the bigger teams we'd be in good shape and hopefully a higher position.

@@fartiepantze7441 I know but the reason why Ole failed is because even he himself couldn't describe the type of football he wanted the team to play but with Ragnick it's different, just look at the type of football the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, Liepzig, Salzburg etc are playing and that's his philosophy and that's what's different between a perfectionist and a trialist. I wouldn't be mad had we lost or drew against Palace because for the first time in a long time we played like a big team, we bossed the opposition, pinned them way deep in their own half so much so they changed their formation and let the likes of Ayew play as wingbacks, that's what a big team should.

All credit to this new manager. You Get a good manager with good passion and experience, you're on a winner! This guy knows what he is doing!

Jokes aside Fred is always in the starting lineup of the Brazil national team. This is no small thing.

Fred is the most underrated player in united, yet the most consistent. He can only do so much but the team let's go at times but this gu plays with heart mates watch him be the best DM in the premier league

I still believe when Varane returns, lindelof would make a great cdm. And hopefully Maguire will improve his horrific performance. Fred is a different breed under the right coach.

This time David De Gea also had minutes for holiday on the pitch.

To qualify as a coach in the UK you have to go through the FA coaching system which is so behind the times and it shows with the lack of successful English managers. Theres not much flexibility in it, it's kind of the FA's way or the high way but the systems broken. No progressive thoughts in the courses just dinosaur coaching and tatics

Small example but important- the average German is down at 7am to put his towel on the deckchair. The Englishman does not make this effort. The Englishman comes down at 10am to find all the deckchairs have been taken.

The way some talk you'd think Ole got us consecutive relegations. We finished 2nd and 3rd. Same people think it's an achievement if we get top 4....wtf is their logic based on?

You need players like Fred who have the energy like Kante, and I think Harry Maguire had his best game so far, he seemed to be very confident. I'm so excited to see this united team in the upcoming games

There shot set up reminds me of a mix between Peps Munich and Barca. Munich used to pass to the byline metres from the near post and cut back to the players waiting/arriving near the penalty spot for both sides of the goal to be available and get the keeper more off guard. Barca would play along the edge of the box and always try playing a ball from the d area behind the defence unless playing from the wing and coming into the box for a pass near the penalty spot. Both styles get defenders put of position off balance and give the shooter more time space and options for scoring. United looked like they're going to be playing a similar style to both.

As a United fan for over 65 years and having seen many new brooms coming into the club, I urge some caution and patience with RR. We beat Crystal Palace and played a lot better than recent games but, we scored one goal and could easily have drawn the game. Palace made it difficult for us but we are Man Utd, every opposition team play 10% harder against us. Let’s hope this guy will create a team that can equal or better Liverpool.

Ralph knows Manchester United is a solid FC and the players understand what he wants to achieve with philosophy and tactics thats all that matters. I mean would pass up this job to coach man United 😌😌

What was different about the game from the previous games is we control the game better. We cannot allow the opponents to dictate the game.

Ole produced excellent results against teams and Utd finished up 2nd last season and may have done the same this season with Ole as they may have went on a run of results because Utds next several fixtures are not difficult. Utds next difficult game is against City in March.

Ole has the best start of any manager in premier league history for his first 10 games. We won 9-0 in February but everyone has quickly forgotten. Cleansheets are the target as well as goals!!

The players were moving the ball much quicker and were always looking to play that forward pass. We still need to be much, much better but this is the right direction.

Scott will be dropped but unlike the previous times. The players will get proper coaching, give them room to improve.

@@mmamultiverse75 the point of pressure is true though, when we are under attack Maguire mostly looks clueless and messes up bad, there was not much pressure in this game at all so we still need to see. And also some of his short passes to the wings are too tight and unnecessarily puts pressure on the players receiving the ball. But anyone can improve their game under a new manager and with players like Varane and Bailly to come everyone should be at the top level not just average.

He might not be fazed but he’s also not good enough. We had a fred before, we called him Anderson, and he too couldn’t slide passes or add 14 goals and assists. He’s no hazard iniesta lampard gerrard, and who knows what fred does especially well. He came in from left field when we wanted other 8s but quality players were shunning Utd bc our swagger vibes faded. Fred and McT mirror the other’s mediocre passballing. At least mata can pick a pass and regularly contributes goals and always advances the ball, but really, pogba should be that player, and fred can take Swindon Town in carabo tuesdays or sub 85th min when we’re up by 3.

@@ukbigjon good if he supports city he should likewise with united fans. The games going soft with people who just support clubs because of success it’s nice to have a bit of passion left

A pressing game is highly entertaining to watch but it could drain the forwards too soon and it's vulnerable to counterattacks and that's not good news when you have people like maguire at the back!!

Always said fred aint the problem especially in a pressing system granted he aint the best going forward but this system suits him down to the ground can do nice and easy passes dont have to think as much

We matched United as they only had half chances, we should have kept the ball better as we were a threat with the counter attack. We fully deserved a draw but first defeat in four years at Old Trafford is not bad going 🦅PTID ❤️💙

Ole lacks experience at top level. He should be managing Molde level football. Same goes for Carrick and McKenna. Maybe Gary Neville will hire them to manage his team Salford if he has the balls that is 😂
