Scherbo only competed for 3 years. Talk about dominating! Loved seeing Li Nang and Jotchev. This was a real treat.

I love you Male Artistic Gymnastics, World Artistic Gymnastics Champions.
Gymnastics is a discipline that encompasses a wide range of physical activities requiring strength, flexibility, agility, balance, and coordination. Within gymnastics, there are eight different apparatuses, each with its specific characteristics and routines. Let's explore each of these apparatuses: 1. Floor Exercise: The floor exercise is considered the "heart" of artistic gymnastics. It is performed on a 12m x 12m spring-loaded mat. Gymnasts showcase their acrobatic skills, dance, and choreography while performing a routine that combines tumbling passes, jumps, turns, and expressive movements. 2. Vault: The vault is all about explosive power and speed. Gymnasts sprint down a runway and launch themselves onto a vaulting table. They perform complex acrobatic skills in the air before landing on a cushioned mat. The difficulty and execution of the vault determine scores. 3. Uneven Bars: Uneven bars require upper-body strength, coordination, and technique. A gymnast swings between two horizontal bars of different heights, performing transitions, release moves, and graceful swings. The routine features combinations of giants, pirouettes, and dynamic releases. 4. Balance Beam: The balance beam is a 5m long, 10cm wide apparatus placed 1.25m above the ground. Gymnasts perform a routine that includes jumps, turns, acrobatic skills, and dance elements. Balance and precision are crucial as they execute flips, leaps, and difficult acrobatics while maintaining grace and composure. 5. Parallel Bars: The parallel bars demand strength, coordination, and control. Two bars, set parallel to each other, provide a platform for athletes to perform a routine of swings, support moves, strength elements, and high-flying dismounts. Movements involve swinging, handstands, and complex grips. 6. High Bar: The high bar showcases spectacular releases, swinging elements, and daring aerial stunts. Gymnasts display strength, precision, and coordination as they swing and turn on a single horizontal bar. Giant swings, release moves, and intricate combinations contribute to a successful high bar routine. 7. Rings: The rings event showcases impressive upper-body and core strength. A gymnast performs a routine on two rings suspended from the ceiling. Flairs, strength holds, swings, and powerful dismounts are key components. The stability and control exhibited during static positions and dynamic movements are crucial. 8. Pommel Horse: The pommel horse demands exceptional strength, balance, and coordination. Gymnasts perform routines by circling, swinging, and traveling on a padded apparatus with handles known as pommels. They execute a series of movements, including scissors, flairs, spindles, and loops, maintaining a fluid rhythm and precision. Each apparatus requires specific skills and techniques, but the common thread among all gymnastics disciplines is the impressive combination of athleticism, artistry, and dedication displayed by gymnasts.

He should be
great video, though imo the drastic increase of skill over the decades makes it hard to compare them because top performers in 1960 probably couldnt make it close to the olympics today.
nice hip fancy music🎹
El mejor de todos es el rey Kohie Uchimura el mejor de los mejores
Beautiful piaoliang
My favorite gymnast on high bar has got to be Epke Zonderland.
And where is Sawao Kato?
Why does the video say that Dragulescu stopped competing in 2015 when he took part in the Vault final in 2019?

Lots of work to do this video. That’s an interesting recap. Only one point : who in this list would exchange 1 gold medal for 3 bronze medals ? Nobody. Not even for 100 bronze medals. Gold is gold. The list should be done the way it is done per country at the Olympic Games : who has the most gold medals, then who has the most silver, then who has the most bronze. This would not change the number one Vitaly Scherbo. Kohei Uchimura 1m61 54kg, should be competing in children gymnastics. Malnutrition of teenagers to gain gold medals is a real shame. Same problem in gymnastics than in the world of fashion top models. Studies have been done on twins about this topic. The age was already a controversy. I think weight or height categories should be created in gymnastics to stop was is done on teenagers health.

I agree Gymnastics needs heavier rules to protect children and teenagers, but I don't think height/weight classes are going to do the trick. I think stricter regulations regarding the age and weight in relation to height makes sense. It's a Sport that naturally favors small people. Most female gymnasts are around 150cm, but that makes it easier to spin.
