I'm trying to teach myself Morse code. As a former drummer, I hear them all as rhythms. This video was extremely helpful. Thank you.

that's the whole trick to it recognizing sounds and rhythm like in music not counting dots and dashes you don't have time for that at even 5 words a minute

In case you want to be a Pilot, an Astronaut or a Ships Captain for instance, they all have to learn how to use Morse Code (C.W.) in case of communications failure. There are many ways to send Code when you're "Chips" are down, but then again, if you can't think of any there's no point in taxing you're tiny brain! Thanks Phil K.

This song has helped thousands of amateur radio operatior learn or improve their code skills
This is hilarious and quite the earworm. First heard it on shortwave pirate radio several years ago. It's like Fred Schneider of the B-52s got his ham radio license and wrote a song about it. ;)
R.I.P John Abbott this book and him will be missed
class 1 radio ham here! use it everyday, learned it at 14y/o, now at 68y/o still don,t forget it! once youv,e got it ,it,s like a second language that you never forget, love it , become a radio ham and enjoy another life, I,m not talking C/B, radio,, google "how to become a radio ham "and talk to the world, youll not regret it!!! 73,s have fun and a hobby for life!!😃😃😃...
Boy does this bring back memories! Used this on cassette tape to help me pass my General license test. Thanks!!
The chorus on Y is amazing
Y was my favorite
If only learning morse code was that easy. But at least this song is great for memorizing the phonetic alphabet

Phil, thank you very much. This creative song took me to my childhood. My father was a soldier and one of their mission was deciphering these codes. I remembered those summer holidays, which he used to decipher these codes to entertain me... And at the end he always told that "this means this is the end of the message boy"... Thanks again. :)

Congratulations! You did great! It works because The Rhythm of the Code makes learning Morse Code "logical." The human brain seeks logic and when it is found the data is easily memorized. Thank you for your comment.
As someone who learns easier with music, thank you for this!

Wow this is how I learned morse code and got this part of my amateur radio license back in '94!!! I love this thing we have called the internet! I was explaining morse code to my finance and how I learned it and decided to search for it since I only had it on a cassette. Thanks this made it so easy to learn and I will be using this again to refresh my memory to help get my amateur radio license again!!!
splendid

No, not sure where I bought it, i think at my local Ham store in Wilmington, NC (closed now) . They may have got them from Dayton. I imported it to MP3 and keep it on my phone to play for people I work with. They already know I'm weird :)
I first heard this song last night from a Morse app on Android. This is included in the app as a bonus feature. The first 10 seconds of listening to it made me super-addicted. And that's how I ended up watching this clip with the same song. Thank you for this!
