Morning walleye shore fishing
Фильм және анимация
No better way to spend a morning between nightshifts than shore fishing for walleye with my faithful chocolate labrador Roloff. The first half hour was slow but I brought along the dog;s kong and he got a good swimming session in. The bite suddenly turned on for half an hour then switched off just as abruptly.
Bobbers and jigging this morning, jigging doing slightly better than the bobber as the fish were aggressively chasing the bait.
Bait was medium minnows.

could not stop smiling watching this video. Love the dynamic between the man and his dog.
These are the types of videos i like. Relaxing with the puppy and catching nice tasty fish and top it off by its only a short walk. Now thats great. Not like some of these videos on here where they scream and get all over the top excited like its their first fish lol. Kudos to you tho my friend 👌
This was such a peaceful, happy video. Took my stress level down quite a bit. Roloff is incredible. I can tell he's extremely loyal and listens well.

Thank you, I always hope these videos have that effect. As for Roloff, well, he's Roloff…loyal, loving, happy soul.
I got to do the same thing with my pup , smith this morning it was so calming and the best way to start any day. Although it was cut short by a black bear sneaking up behind us, pup didn’t let put a single bark until he was in plain sight😂😂I need to get him out a bit more like he used to
Roloff the "Guide Dog" outstanding stuff! Beautiful morning and nice walleyes as well...

JDPMN1 Thanks John, sorry for not replying to the vid comments sooner, the notifications seem to be broken, did not think anyone had made a comment till I looked just now!
I enjoy watching your dog as much as I enjoy watching you fish. Always gotta have a lab.

Can you consider doing a video in eagle lake in northwest Ontario?
Well trained pup! Never once snapped at the fish on the line.
love your vids...keep'em coming my good man. question...its clearly evident from viewing your vids you prefer live bait over artificial lures. do you ever use lures??? if so, chance of shooting a vid demonstrating the lures you favor for pike & walleye??? thanx in advance...cheers : )

professor4x4 You are quite correct proffessor4x4, I love live bait, cuz the fish love it. I have done many experiments with live vs. lure when the bite has been on and live always outfishes the artificial, but that is specific particularly with walleye. When I fish bass I like mepps type spinners same with pike. When I was in Antigua recently plastics and cranks were all I used...and were very effective. Someone else asked me to do a vid with my techniques...lol...you guys are mistaking me for an expert! But I will be happy to do that, I just need the time to fit it in, perhaps when my kid gets back to school next week I'll do a Lac Seul walleye and bass vid with a focus on my set up.....sound ok?

thumbs up...I just addressed it is all cause everytime I fish north of the SIOUX for walleye & pike I never ever have to resort to live bait : )

I love my dog too. However, I do not think it helps the fishing by causing big splashes and spooking the fish. But hey, lots of fresh air, and bonding with your dog - Is all that matters really.
