he has calmed down a lot after 4 years, pretty well behaved dog now.

Very lucky to be able to fish such a nice body of water with just your 4 legged companion to accompany you.

Nothing gets better than this video! A cute dog, catching fish left and right, and a beautiful day! Awesome video!

Great video. It’s winter today, so watching this video was a mini get away. Treacherous walking terrain. Gotta like it when the line starts stripping when you had Mr. Pike. And Rollo is a great fishing buddy.

I love how this dog loves fishing just as much as you. And also how he tried to bite the fish everytime.

It is pretty nice for sure. It is actually a pretty busy shore spot, but I work shifts and head down there early on weekdays and rarely see another soul!

I used to have a doberman pinscher when i was a kid,we would take him ice fishing.After watching us catch a few fish with bobbers he tried to grab the lines and pull the lines up himself.Funny to watch but a great fishing buddy.

Thanks for the comment Jack Flynn. I am just bouncing it along the bottom, and letting it sit. Kind of like, twitch….twitch….pause….twitch…twitch…..pause. Most of the time the bites from walleye happen on the pause, and the pike hit when it is moving.

My dog understands everything I say, but he chooses to ignore 95% of what I say…..lol.

Thanks Amanda Kong, he is very, very, very friendly, he loves anybody and everybody, perfect family dog. Most labrador dogs are.

+t-bone it actually is pretty popular with locals and a camp has some boats stashed……but in comparison to some lakes it is fairly remote.

Awesome I fish in the same lake as you there's a good spot just across from were you were there's monster pickerel and small jack fish

That looks like an awesome place for shore fishing! Not many places have that good of a shoreline to give such good shore fishing access. Nice video. Great action. My wife and I enjoy fishing Dinorwic Lake. Gotta use the boat though.

There is some good crappy fishing in Dinorwic now too. I fish Dinorwic from time to time as we live on Lake wabigoon, set sail from my house and it takes about 40mins.

vishuscirquel I've seen some pics of people with nice catches of crappies. I've only caught one here and there. Never schooled up yet. We'll be spending a week on Dinorwic come walleye opener. I'm so looking forward to it. I've never really ventured far on wabigoon. The fishing is pretty darn good on the whole system.

I only get to go for two weeks each June (Perrault Falls) but I count the days. Love fishing pike, musky, walleye and smallies. Nice vid but it makes me 'homesick' .

Walleye opener is in two weeks ! CAN NOT WAIT ! I’m a boatless angler here in Southwest Minnesota and I am going to limit out on opening day FROM SHORE. Who needs a boat 🚣‍♀️

Shane Mac It certainly is. It does suffer from some of the locals who litter there, real shame, but if avoid weekends you rarely see any signs of humanity…PERFECT!

Cool, I'm looking forward to open water now, its been a long winter as usual. When you say jacks you are talking about pike? We get pike right of our lawn here in the spring, the spawn in the bay.

Great spot to fish because the little stream going into the lake will wash worms into the lake which will attract bait fish and then the Walleye that feed on them. It's amazing that here in the UK we have an almost identical fish to the Walleye called a Zander. The wall eyes look browny green, whilst Zander are more silvery.

I caught a walleye about 8ft from shore earlier this evening.

what equipment are you using? i have a kit from canadian tire abu garcia pro max and I feel nothing... My friends told me I need to upgrade... I wonder what rod do you have? thank you

can you explain a bit more about what you mean by feel nothing? What type of structure are you fishing? what lure/ bait do you use? What line do you use? have you caught anything where you are fishing? What are you fishing for? Is the water clear or stained? The rod you have looks decent enough, I'd say its one or all of the above factors you should look at as opposed to the rod and reel, The rod and reel i'm using are pretty similar to your set up, in fact cost less, I dont take my expensive boat rods shore fishing.

What bait were you using if you don't mind me asking. Love the vid. Always love the walleye videos always fun to watch. Especially this one.

MCclasher Thanks for the comments. I was using medium minnows (3" dace and fatheads). I will be heading to that spot in about 3 weeks when walleye fishing opens again, there is still ice on some lakes here.

Its a lake not a river, sorry won't be naming it online. I'm using 3/8 oz lead jigs with medium minnows.
