I am one of 8 children, now aged 64, and watching you brings me back to my own childhood here in the Cleveland area. My mother it seems always at the stove cooking and us kids helping as directed. It was a treasured upbringing. All 8 of us got college degrees and most are now retired with families of our own. It's sweet to look back on.

This video made me tear up a few times watching you interact with your children. As someone who grew up needing my moms attention, affection, nurturing and all of those things, I thought it was important that I comment in that I’m so amazed at what a wonderful mom you are to your children. They are each so beyond blessed to have you as their mama. Your love for them shines bright on these videos. You are such a beautiful human being. ❤

So, can I just say you are amazing. The eight children alone is beyond a full-time job, but to put all the cooking, cleaning, preparation and planning, and especially teaching on top of it is nothing short of a Herculean challenge. To do it all with such grace and peace is a feat few could achieve, I hope you give yourself a pat on the back every night for pulling this off every day. 😊

I think it has a lot to do with their lifestyle and values and love they are putting in their kids as well as having a big family. We live somewhat rurally, my kid is in school and it is a whole different story seeing teenagers and preteens around here. Most of them don’t have this connection with their parents as parents mostly work and surviving and have no time for this kind of quality time with their kids. Just my little observation. I myself hope I will have this close relations with my son when he is Gabriel’s age.

Jessica you're a very special woman that has so much patience's with your children. I admire how you always make your food homemade from scratch because that takes so much time. The love you and your husband show your children is beautiful. I fill this is needed more in this day in the world we live in. I remember back when I was growing up in the 60's and 70's this is the life I grew up in and I am so thankful. The baby is beginning to look a lot like Benjamin with those big beautiful eyes. She's gonna be a beautiful girl.

He is not much on complements normally.. . But he said , boy, she doesn't look old enough to have 8 kids. He is right, you don't. Ever beautiful you are!!!!! So are all those 8 and hubby! Loved watching you like always.❤

Tomorrow I'm making biscuits for breakfast and split pea soup for lunch. My 9yo told me this is the best spring break ever, and he wants to do this every holiday. 😂 Some kids love Disney. I love seeing you take good care of yourself and the time you spend with just 1 or 2 children is very special. I’m the 7th of 9 siblings and as an introvert I often felt lost in the shuffle as did sib #4. I’m in awe of parents who know their children’s individuality and uniqueness. Moms with large families may take that for granted but that focused time and attention is a special gift to your children

Seeing these types of videos gives me hope. I have a 2 and a 3 year old and I am exhausted and overwhelmed most of the time. Knowing that one day they will be older kids who are able to contribute to the household is huge. What did your daily life look like when you just had two or three littles? Were you largely overwhelmed then, or has motherhood always come so naturally to you? I just can’t imagine having 8 kids when I’m so tired with just 2.

I remember when my kids were little. I too had a schedule I went by. What really helped me was that my kids were great nippers. I find that my days fly by so fast because the responsibilities never end. You really do have to always be 1 or 2 steps ahead of the next thing. My husband calls our kitchen a factory because theres always something happening (and always a mess in the sink). I also usually end up losing my cool at some point. The noise level really starts to get to me. I don't know how I would handle 8!

I love watching you with your children. We’re also a homeschooling family… my boys are 16, 14, and 12. We’ve homeschooled from the beginning. The connection and bond formed with spending all that time together is priceless and is the greatest blessing for me. My husband lost his job recently and so we swapped places… he’s now holding up the fort with housework and homeschooling the teen boys (it made sense to switch at this point since he has so much to teach them at this age.) I find myself missing my time at home though. It’s great you and the kids take the time in the mornings to connect with your husband. ❤️
