    Great seeing your overview of the most popular LED’s out right now. Especially like that you test in reflectors & projectors, adding the noise test as well, thank you. I never realized how loud some of these bulbs are. I wish Morimoto would have made the new technology in their 3.0 consistent across all the versions. I’ve noticed the H4 doesn’t use the automotive Osram chip, or have the 30% dimming feature for DRL’s that the Osram version does. My question would be have you tested any of these LED’s in a FJ Cruiser’s stock reflector? I noticed a few nice projector retrofits you’ve done on FJ’s. But I was hoping you’ve gotten to test bulbs on the stock reflector. As I own a 2011 FJ Cruiser Trail Teams and have been looking at lighting options. Being it’s a Trail Teams I’d like to keep the basic stock look, while still getting the best light performance I can, (beam pattern, DRL function, and output & color). Hoping you might have some thoughts, experience or even plans to test on one in the near future. Thanks for any input,

    Hello I need a little bit of help. I have a 2015 Ford Explorer XLT and I’ve tried the Morimoto 3.0s and I’m not impressed. I’ve tried a bunch of Amazon LEDs and the only one with good output is the Sealight X2. I was thinking of getting the SV.4 or the Ultra 2s. Recommendations or thoughts?

  • @LightwerkzGlobal

    @LightwerkzGlobal

    2 жыл бұрын

    Realize that LED is not always the answer. The Explorer uses a lower quality projector anyways. If you want the best bang for the buck, use HID system. Its cheaper and will be brighter than any LED on the market. Plug and play too. However if you want LED recommendation it will be the Ultra 2 or the SV4. lightwerkz.net/collections/hid-systems/products/hylux-2a88-35w-canbus-hid-system

    Lemme tell you now, LEDs in the rain suck. I had LEDs in my 09 camry and even when it wasnt raining output sucked, the stock halogen threw light further. Switched to HID 35w 4300k and that was night and day difference. Much brighter Edit: the LED i used in my camry was by Sealight off amazon(they sucked, looks bright looking at it directly, but outwards on the road, did not illuminate it as i expected it to. The stock halogens surprisingly were better. And i replaced it with HID from morimoto, XB35 with their 4500K bulbs. This had a wider and longer range of lighting. Still a warmer white light but noticeable difference from halogens. In the rain these were great. Then again to each their own, its their car their money.

    I've always concern if I'm going to be blinding people if I upgrade to LED or HID in my 2013 Crosstrek with reflector housing. I've gone through 3 bulbs in about almost 2 years using the Osram Light Breaker Laser and Unlimited. These 3.0 seems like I might give it a shot but still concern of the glare and will be blinding people even after aiming them correctly. I've been told to send my headlights in to a rep company to let them add a HID projector or just buy a set for about $600+, but that's out of my budget, Especially during these times.

    I know that all of these are rated as fog lights, but... are you LUX measurement correct? It seems way to high. Here (In Norway) max LUX at 25 meters (82 foot), measured at 1.1 meter (3.60 foot) high, should be maximum 0.7 LUX . (for legal low beam headlights. There is no restriction any longer on high beam / extra lights).

  • @LightwerkzGlobal

    @LightwerkzGlobal

    3 жыл бұрын

    As far as we know the meter is correct and properly calibrated. We are testing at a distance of about 33 feet. Keep in mind that properly aligned low beams will eventually hit the ground, just depends at what distance. Sounds like your lux restriction is more so at a distance, to prevent excessive glare or perhaps to check if headlight is aligned at a safe height for oncoming traffic.
