What about he ar coated vs the non ar coated lens kelvin rating
Are these your projectors or Morimoto projector
Will it match led fog lights
You didn't reference VOR/VOL

i notice that you didn't mark the middle of the car, isn't that important? Also, how about adjusting the left and right for the focus?
If you really want to dial in your horizontal alignment you can mark the wall for each headlight, then back up from the wall to 25' for adjusting left/right.
I have the sl2 yellow 9005 in my high beams and I'm pretty disappointed. I knew I'd be getting a Lux drop going to yellow but it's drastic. But my biggest gripe is no matter how I rotate the bulb my passenger side bulb shines up in the trees.
Fire 🔥
Next get the engine recall done.
Headlights made the car look even dirtier 😭
Just curious did you adjust the height of the headlights using the top or bottom adjustment screws?
Sorry dont recall but you will see which one adjusts the height once you start moving it. Just make sure to be 25'+ from the wall during adjustment.
what year can interchange head light assembly?
Hello. I'd like to do this, but just the bi-LED to replace the low-beam xenon. Did you have to do any trickery with the car's light module? I'm concerned how my 2001 E38 with factory Xenon will react to Morimoto LED 2.0. Will it barf and spew all sorts of error messages?
Yes we can do just the bi-led and no extra trickery required. It will be plug and play.
@@LightwerkzGlobal AWESOME! Sending you an email. Found your website and ready to order but have a couple more questions. Watched some other videos on this channel, you guys certainly are experts ! Glad I found you.
out of these two, which is pure white ?
Everyone has a different opinion on what "pure white" is. CBB is a cool white and the CBN is a neutral white. Here is a comparison photo between the two - facebook.com/photo?fbid=4614296501927163&set=pcb.4614296608593819
which bulb is pure white ?
so the cool blue boost is pure white ? or does it have a little blue in it.
Do you offer a plug and play kit for 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500hd?
We have the new NHK M5 Plus now. You can use this bracket setup - lightwerkz.net/collections/retrofit-brackets/products/14-chevy-silverado-hd-2500-d2s-5-0-g5-r-brackets + lightwerkz.net/collections/led-projectors/products/nhk-m5-plus-bi-led-projectors-lhd (just make sure to select the h11 /9005 pin add on setup) and it should be plug and play
Really good informative video

Nice setup!!! Love the tint job. Wonder what % in the fronts
20%
I put those Morimotos in my 2012 Mazda 3 a few years ago, and they have been amazing for what they are. This is definitely one of the best mods anyone with halogen projectors can do. I consider this a safety upgrade.
Another example of why LEDS will always be second to HIDs in my opinion. They are just better suited for this application not to mention that they have a higher longevity rate because it has been tried and true for many years as of with LEDS its just not there to me and with the option of just 6000 to 6500k that's a big deal breaker!! 4000 to 5000k is much more natural when comparing to natural sunlight and gives the best visibility hence the reason OEM HID was 4300k from Phillips and Osram that the manufacturers used for their vehicles. Certainly, if he can get an HID retrofit or new OEM housings then he will get better performance out of those HIDs with the proper aiming of course. Great videos brother!
I’ve got Morimoto MLED 2.0’s and honestly they’ve been going pretty alright for the past 2 years. Hoping they don’t just quit on me. But they’ve been doing well so far.
@@JoeyLovesTrains Hopefully they will keep up brother. I had Auxito LEDS and they failed after one year of usage.
@@Triggzism i had some cheap ones from Amazon and they also failed after less than a year. Don’t recall the brand
I installed Lastfit Air H7 bulbs for my cornering lights on a F10 535iX LCI. Had to code out the flicker. Also, coded the FMU to recognize the bulb as LED. No error codes. The LED gradually brightens, much like the previous incandescent bulb. Noticeable improvement in coverage and brightness. I did observe that the color was a near match to my OSRAM CBB D1S bulbs. Happy with set-up.
Met a guy years back with aftermarket HID that matched 100% with LED. White like paper! Never saw him again and never found a kit with that same true white colour.
Likely CN Light HID bulbs. they were pretty close to that perfect ice white color.
@@LightwerkzGlobal will look into it
I thought Lasfit was good but they SUCK man.. I had the switchback and they failed after two years. The Lesson: If it doesn't say lifetime warranty like Sylvania Zevo bulbs they're gonna fail my guy!
*or Diode Dynamics, or Morimoto, or GTR Lighting
so is it safe to run HIDs on a halogen projector?
Yes, It's safe. LED does run cooler overall though. LED would be "safer" in that aspect but there is a trade off.
Great video and service. You mention covering the new lenses with PPF. I've read that Porsche lenses covered in PPF will delaminate if you ever have to take the PPF off. Will this happen with your lenses as well?
The key word is *may* delaminate. Anything covering a headlight lens could technically take a layer off the lens. The other day a light came in with a piece of clear packing tape and it did delaminate a portion of the lens. The reason why we are so busy with this service is because Porsche owners are warned against putting the PPF on the lenses. This goes as far as detailers not wanting to be liable for any potential issues as well, so they dont do the lights. With the right techniques, it shouldn't be a concern. Here's the flip side of the topic. The lenses go to hell no matter what due to the design. Most of the lenses faces the sky and the UV from the sun eats through it. Lights that come in from any southern climate are wrecked. We do a handful a week. The manufacturer of modern Porsche headlight assemblies varies by model range. Hella produces all the Cayenne and Panamera. ZKW produces the Carrera and Cayman. All lenses eventually degrade. There is nothing "delicate" or "special" about the lenses made for the Porsche models, yet no other car owner community is warned against using PPF on the lenses. This is standard practice to cover the headlights when the front end is being wrapped in PPF. So to answer you question, yes it *may* happen when you go to replace the PPF in 5-10 years. In my opinion it's better to roll the dice, than to watch your lenses degrade over time. Aftermarket lenses will degrade quicker. The only sure way to protect is with film. Lots of films have ceramic coating built in too. Lots of UV protection this way.
Thank you for a very professional and thorough answer! This probably reflects the high quality of your work.
I have them in my R1. The projectors look like cat eyes now. Light output is better than halogen.
The easy one
Trade that in while they still have value. Cause it’s not loooking good for these new Tundras and Tacomas
I have a Porsche Pinero 2014 looking for lenses to be replaced. What is the cost?
Panamera?
Thanks for being honest and practical with regards to letting people know companies don’t last forever.
I can’t find this service on your website for the 718. Is it similar in price to the 981?
Link is in the description :)
Usually you loosen the control arms upper and lower at ride height so your bushing arent getting overly twisted. That is probably what is holding ur truck up. If u tightened the lowers at full droop it would be higher than specified. The control arms usually have some serations to bite into the mount.

I torqued all to spec it while it the suspension was loaded.
@@LightwerkzGlobal weird, figured that would be the only thing that could settle and lower the suspension more.
One thing to note is that some cars use PWM for DRL using the main light, meaning LED will flicker expressly because of the "instant on" effect.
It could. That is solved with a anti-flicker module.
@@LightwerkzGlobal Yes; additional point of failure not made easily-replaceable
I just had mine installed but I noticed the 3 led beams stay on even when I turn headlight switch off, did they plug the wire in the wrong fuse?
You need to go into the settings on your infotainment screen and turn off the DRL setting.
@@LightwerkzGlobal that did the trick, thank you for the reply
Wow! you defiantly made the right choice. Incredible transformation. I've done epoxy a few times and it's nice but the prep and the smell, that floor would have taken a lot to get ready for epoxy.. Gives off a great impression. Keep that wet/dry shopvac in good shape. You guys kicked but on that.
Great and informative video. I may have missed it, but how does the LED lights handle the heavy snow. When I’ve had LED bulb replacements in the past, they wouldn’t melt the snow as it built up over the front of the headlights. Not enough heat I guess. Will these melt the snow?
🔥🔥 ready to redo my stocks(tired of the gtr ones).. I’m liking the shroud look though
Any thought to using the metal weld to mount the light bar from?
This is such a clean and subtle upgrade. Great work! This truck is gorgeous 😍
Truck looks great !! 👍🏻
Hey guys, im looking to retro fit my 2004 e53, where can i get the lenses you were using please. Thanks Reuben
You can find them on ebay. Nhks are way too big for small housings
I consider this the definitive video for adjusting the headlights on any US car, primarily for the beam pattern drop measurements given that can be applied to any vehicle (4:59, 5:30). Was not aware of the VOL vs VOR thing at all until this video. I have a 2021 Honda Ridgeline. Factory headlight aiming specs call for the beam to be straight ahead with no drop at 25 feet, which is just flat out wrong. I used the measurements given in this video to stop my headlights blinding the mess out of people as I drive down the road.
Curious do you need to swap projectors when going led or are the hid projectors sufficient?
Yes. Simple because using plug and play LED bulbs on a projector designed for HID is just a recipe for a downgrade in your lighting. Nothing works better than a premium Osram or Philips bulbs inside a HID based projector.
What size wheel and tires?? Please
