Easy Reader. He got me through grade school. Whenever the other kids made fun of me for wanting to sit and read during recess, I'd think, "Screw them. EASY READER says it's cool to read!"

Wow! Morgan Freeman is just as funny here as he was on The Electric Company! Though he didn't enjoy doing that show - he was embarrassed doing a kids' show and only did it because it was his "first taste of financial security" - he really showed his comic and dramatic versatility on it, from Easy Reader to Mel Mounds to Marco the Magician to Vincent the Vegetable Vampire, and many more. That was a fabulous start for such a great actor. Thanks for posting!

I remember reading only because I HAD to ~ but when I saw how much fun Easy Reader was having when he read, THAT opened my eyes to an entire world of fun reading. Now my favorite books are those that were made into movies. I enjoy watching the movies first, because you get the characters' voice in your mind {The way they talk and sound}, so when you read the book, you get more detail, and many questions answered. When you read the lines that were put into the movie, you kind of hear them read in the movie characters' voices. But when you go the OTHER way {Book before movie}, more often you will be asking "Why wasn't {Pick a Scene from the book} put in the movie?!?"
