📋 *𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆* 📋
Little is known about the origins of Moresco. What is certain is that important settlements rose in its territory in Roman times and subsequently, in the Lombard age, monastic and feudal curtes and castra (fortified centers), one of which later established itself above all, becoming the only place of residence for the scattered population.
The origin of the name is not certain whether it comes from a gentleman, named Morico or from the Moor family, or from the toponym morro, morrecine, which stands for stony place.
There are two other theories, in sharp contrast to each other: the first wants that a group of Moors, in their raids along the Adriatic coast, went a little further inland to build a stronghold; the second instead states that the Castrum Morisci was built near the sea precisely to repel the assaults of the Saracens.
The first news of the castle dates back to 1083 and documents dating back to the 12th century testify to the regency of Tebaldo, count of Moresco. In the 13th century the castle passed into ownership to the city of Fermo.
First by the hand of Frederick II, then at the behest of King Manfredi and definitively, in 1266, when the lords of Moresco sold the fortress of the castle to the Doge of Venice, and mayor of Fermo, Lorenzo Tiepolo. Since then it will remain the castle of Fermo until the unification of Italy.
Once the inhabitants were freed from feudal ties, Moresco became a municipality and was governed by a council of Massari and a Vicar appointed by Fermo.
In 1868 it loses its municipal autonomy and becomes a hamlet of Monterubbiano. It returns to being an autonomous municipality, with a royal decree, on June 26, 1910, also on the initiative of Arturo Vecchini.
On 26 June 2010 Moresco celebrated 100 years since the regained autonomy.

The Drone intro just stole the show. A small beautiful hill top town, Moresco, surrounded by belvedere panoramas. You can see some towns far away. The outside walk around the town was awesome. I enjoyed video, thanks.

Stunning. Interesting to see that the roof tiles are all brownish, whereas many other areas in Italy have red roof tiles. I don't know if it's because of a city bylaw aimed at protecting the architectural heritage of the town, or because people make sure to respect the original character of the building when doing repair work but either way, it's pretty neat. I love Italy's architectural diversity. Pastel houses on the Amalfi Coast, Austrian-type cottages in the Dolomites, trulli houses in Puglia and, well, this monochromatic masterpiece of a village. Italy is on another level altogether. I knew it, but your videos made me realize just how much it is.

Dear Hugo, indeed it's all like that in the Marche, quite peculiar, quite beautiful. I'll show more towns for sure around in the Marche in the future as they are very charming and different, also in their architecture as you saw. Agreed about the differences in the architecture... even from South and North of Lazio it's so different... like tuff on the northern part and bricks here. Wish you a nice week

Belvedere Panorama is such an awesome view , amazingly beautiful , all these towns have astonishingly wonderful panoramic views . I like them very much . Beauty beyond words . Glad you liked also these new towns in region Marche dear Rajyashree ✌️. They're white different in their stony architecture and settings. Like them a lot myself. I'll post more. In a way I agree much...there are so many little villages and almost unknown locations which are truly wonderful. Perhaps they're not famous and fancy but I believe they deserve to be seen as well

Só tenho a agradecer ainda estou aqui assistindo o vídeo e lendo as anotações. É uma história muito antiga e as informações que vc trouxe de dentro do castelo são muito importantes para que a gente possa se situar dentro da linha do tempo histórica. Eu não fazia ideia que a região já era povoada e organizada como comunidade ainda era no período do império romano. Então eu é que tenho que agradecer! Mais uma vez, muito obrigado!

We will be staying in Positano when we do come. May I ask if you could recommend perhaps your top 5 towns like this within let's say a couple hours of Positano, so we can go and come back to Positano in the same day. We are already planning on Civita. Maybe something by a river? Someplace with as few vehicles as possible to create that immersive feeling in an ancient place. Thanks and grazie.

Che hanno anche molto più successo, proprio perché mostrano sempre i posti turistici... @@StillWanderer ti ringrazio per la cortese risposta. Se posso permettermi un consiglio, il bello della mia regione è la sua forza, sta proprio in questi piccoli paesi come Moresco. Ogni collina ha il suo piccolo paese, e qui risiede la bellezza della mia regione. Va bene Ascoli Piceno, sicuramente la più bella città che abbiamo come capoluogo di provincia. Va bene anche Urbino, va bene anche Gradara. Probabilmente le città più visitate ed anche più filmate. Per cui ti consiglierei di visitare e filmare la parte più bella è meno nota di questa regione ma anche delle altre ovviamente ,perché probabilmente sono le meno conosciute e anche le più stupefacenti,! Concludendo Volevo anche dirti che la mia regione è detta anche, la regione dei Cento teatri. sono almeno 70 quelli storici ristrutturati e ben tenuti. Il bello e che la maggior parte di questi sono dislocati in piccoli paesi. Un saluto

@@luiginocella2873 grazie Luigi, e d'accordo con te che i piccoli borghi sono quelli più da.."scoprire". L'idea del canale età nata più di 2 anni fa proprio con l'idea di mostrare soprattutto (anche se non solo) i piccoli borghi. Eravamo due o tre canali all'epoca. Ora invece... Ma la passione è sempre quella e sicuramente visiterò di nuovo appena ne avrò la possibilità. Conosco purtroppo poco le Marche e con la scusa le sto scoprendo così. Avevo letto dei teatri...mi dispiace non aver potuto vedere il serpente aureo :(
Scusate, il video di questo luogo incantevole ha un difetto. Quando apro lo schermo intero, sulla sinistra si sovrappone una finestra bianca che non si riesce a togliere e copre la visione per metà.

Mi piace molto la musica classica anche se devo dire che vado a periodi... Ora sono in un periodo di musica leggera ma ..."ambient" un po' come quelle che metto nelle anteprime dei video con drone.
