In the summer of 1944, the Danes were fed up with the Nazi regime and took their anger to the streets. Using a general strike, fires, barricades and street fighting the citizens of the capital besieged the city. More than 100 Danes were killed and 600 wounded in the events, which was the biggest single confrontation against the Nazi occupation in Denmark during the war.
In this movie made of illegal film smuggled out of the country during the war, you can see footage of the riots in Copenhagen. And you can hear the story of what happened during those days.
