John, I have a Kubota BX23S and have not raised the hydraulic pressure. I bought the cylinders from HydrosPlus last fall, and had to buy hydraulic hoses since the factory hoses were a tad short. Kubota shows 2 different part numbers for the hydraulic hoses, so I suspect one might be a little shorter than the other. You don't want to stretch hydraulic hoses. I haven't noticed any stability issues, but I also have 2.5" spacers on my rear wheels, which would help make the tractor a little more stable. I never raise the loader higher than the hood when driving around. I moved rock and dirt since installing these cylinders, and don't think you'll overload the front axle considering the size of the loader bucket. The cylinders definitely make it easier to dump material in taller trailers. I also have the Land Pride PFL1242 pallet forks. The main reason I bought the cylinders, is I have storage racks in my pole barn and the cylinders give me an additional 11.5" of lifting height, and can lift 35% more weight. I raised the shelves and gained an additional 11.5" of storage height below. It's definitely nice to have the added lifting capacity, and lifting height when you need it. Use common sense if you install these cylinders, and don't drive around with the loader raised 6' or you might be 6' under!

Great video, I had use for them recently trying to put brush into my dump trailer with my grapple -really could have used extra height, but made do without. Definitely will be ordering a set when they become available. Love your videos- esp. with your helpers haha 😆.

Good morning Jon. This is very impressive. I am very happy with the lifting capacity of our B2601, and I probably shouldn't be left unsupervised with more lifting power. The lift height however, would really be handy . Thanks for this info. Ben

Hi Jon, I watched both videos of the cylinder upgrade and I am Impressed I figured it could reach those numbers. My concern still is, is it structurally safe, and safe in general in a real life scenario to be adding this amount of lift capacity and lift hight to these small compact tractors ? We all know how tippy they can be. I appreciate the time and effort you put into these and all of your videos to help the consumer gain knowledge. However, I feel their are to many cowboys out there that are going to run out and buy these and start breaking axles, tie rods bending things or worse yet get someone hurt. Keep up your good work with your videos, you are a wealth of information.

Oh man, I just ordered them, but I won't be able to use them til next spring. 😲

You'll notice that currently they are on backorder but are expected to be back in stock around Thanksgiving from what Kevin tells me. I think it's money well spent. Keep on tractoring!

Good job, Jon! Please remain ever careful in having more weight, at a higher center of gravity. I still say that the real lifting capacity needs to factor in ~#200 for the bucket weight, because you are lifting and measuring at the pins. Therefore, the capacity is closer to #1400, IMHO. The increased capacity will make the BX even more able for all kinds of chores. I would love to see how your BX acts cutting into a pile of dirt and a pile of stone and breaking out a heaped bucket. I bet it will be a marked performance improvement for this type of task.

That is true, minus the weight of the bucket would increase that capacity by even more. I'm looking forward to testing it out in real world scenarios however in about 2 weeks I'll likely have the snowblower one. Those real world tests might have to wait until spring. Keep on tractoring!

Very impressive. These aftermarket cylinders may save me thousands from having to trade up my BX to a B or LX Kubota. I previously looked into putting larger lift cylinders on my BX after my neighbor did so to his brand new Kubota 3560 cabbed and loaded grand L. But I couldn't find any cylinders that fit right up - would have had to source bushings, etc. for the ends and the closest set was slightly longer which would have prevented the bucket from going all the way down. Count me in.

Impressive! I thought I had read that stock lifting capacity of the bx23 was only 600 something pounds, so i was excited to hear that 800 you got.

I think 600 was maximum height. Because I was just 2-3 feet off the ground I got 880. The new cylinders really turned it into a beast. Keep on tractoring!

Any sense of issues with warranty coverage?

I didn't notice what you had on the back (weight) I have problems with my back tires lifting up with the backhoe on. Don't have a scale but I'm interested in these .love to try

I had the backhoe on and I could feel the backend getting a lot lighter as I was lifting. The cylinders make a huge difference. Keep on tractoring!

Hmmm, I have a set of Landpride forks which are too heavy for the BX at 306#. With decent ballast, getting a couple hundred more practical lift pounds might make them actually serviceable.

Yes for sure! An additional 330 pound of lift. Plus with fork the additional 12 inches of height could be useful. Keep on tractoring!

Well this video stinks!!! Jon you just proved that I made a huge mistake selling my BX23S. I only traded for lift height and capacity. 😢 I literally needed 6 more inches to reach over my new trailer and I needed at least 1000 pounds of capacity to lift logs. What a shame. Thank you so much for bringing these amazing videos to us and the hard work you dedicate to sharing these game changers with us. I wish I had of waited to trade because that tractor was paid off.

Your lift speed is actually not that slow because your going another 12” higher. Very impressive and awesome video. Keep it up!

Its 35% slower if it was lifted to stock height it'd be around 30% slower.

At around $800,I’m on the fence about purchasing them. Yes I’m impressed! 🤔

They are expensive but I think it's a fair price for what you're getting. I think you might even spend more than that for the factory cylinders from the dealer. They should be back in stock around Thanksgiving from what I'm told. Keep on tractoring!

Id try increasing the psi before getting the cylinders if you need just a bit more power on the cheap.

Any concerns about rear ballast weight with the added lifting capacity? Does the backhoe provide adequate weight?

The backhoe provide adequate ballast but I think with a lighter attachment an operator needs to know what they are doing. I should probably do another video promoting those safety concerns. Keep on tractoring!!

What are the loader arms rated for in lifting weight??? Will lifting the new max eventually brake them??

Not sure what they are rated for but with warranty expired and seeing others shim relief valves we're going to push the limits a bit and maybe find out at what point things will break. Keep on tractoring!

I am at a crossroads. Do I keep my BX23S or get a LX4020?

That is a tough decision, the main factors I like my BX are it's small and nimble and able to get into tight areas while have a low impact on yards. I can also trailer it with my half ton truck and attachments are generally cheaper than that of a larger tractor. Now everyones situation is different and that LX series is a nice tractor. I'd opt for a cab version though. Just my 2 cents. Keep on tractoring!

For that extra 4 seconds the bucket is traveling 2 extra feet also to go same distance as before probably no change or minimal at least

Its only one foot higher. Its still at least 25-30% slower if lifted to the same height.

Um, you didn't lift anything though. What I saw was you were pulling on something buried in the ground and you call that "lifting capacity" ? I think you need to actually lift something OFF the ground to get an accurate test. Just my 2 pennies.

Go buy a bigger tractor if you want to lift more heavy stuff, I am sure if you screw up the loader because you lifted some stuff way to heavy , have fun trying to explain that when you talk to Kubota trying to get it covered by warranty, 🤦‍♂️
