Ikr, that is the most customization I've seen in a game. I would expect just being able to change helmets and armor types. But no! You can change gauntlets and everything! I can imagine doing more customization after playing it and learning how it feels wearing no armor compared to full plate armor.

that's never been the problem for me, I quite enjoy the chiv meta. the problem for me is the *game's code being fucking broken to shit*. it lags, crashes, freaks the hell out and is all-around unplayable under a lot of circumstances.

It's not racist, it's just slight realism. Like, if you were playing an African Tribal warfare game and you saw a white person there, you would be confused. I mean, it's possible a black guy could be in Europe at that time, but a bit rare. I think they should allow black characters, because it can happen. And because they would get a lot of hate from SJWs.

Yep and aparently you will be able to play songs with it. You will be able to play diferent notes moving the mouse in different ways (like you would when you are aiming a strike with any regular weapon) and when you switch to alternate grip you can use it to smash people with it. Fucking georgeous.

Damn that customization.. How many Cascas, Griffiths, and Guts are we gonna see?

Wow is that combat intense! I am not even playing the game, just looking at a replay, and my adrenaline is pumping. Looks VERY clean, very fluid and nicely done. Animation could use work (work I would assume is already being done as it's pre-alpha), but just wow!

This game looks truly great, the detail going into this is great. You're able to customize how much wear and tear into your armour is just absolutely phenomenal. There are so many aspects in this game I love and I definitely see this becoming a success. Keep it up, guys.

This is VERY important: This game needs a scream button to make your player scream at the top of his lungs.

The weapon balance is something we are going to tweak in the future, so some of the bigger weapons might feel a bit too fast right now - so yes it will be changed.

I had best tiptoe around the customization part of the game, because if my dad sees it, he's probably going to spend the whole day in customization without even figuring out how to swing.

I'm so glad, I just found this game. It's looking absolutely fantastic. Happy to see another great looking medieval game in the works.

I am just imagining the amount of people running around with what looks like a toilet for a head because of that face sculpting system. Best medieval game I have ever seen in my life though, this deserves a lot of praise!

@@Lexipumpkin783 they just announced it in a big showcase including some nice early medieval stuff, Eastern European stuff, and even further, Middle Eastern clothes, armor, and weapons! They showed concept art of a female landsknecht. Ive heard this update is coming in like half a year. A ways away, but a good sign nonetheless.

to be honest im probably going to be spending HOURS in customization.

Does it say anything?

3 big points, from most important to least: 1. Will there be a story mode? Campaign? Plot? I'm sure you could find someone to write a story for you if you wanted to. I even would. 2. Will you be making it so swords treat bodies like objects? ie. a hit with a sword against someone actually stops at their body and deals damage (unless cutting off a limb)? This could prove useful in organically making it less punishing to miss a parry, perhaps offset by increasing the damage dealt? 3. Will you be including non-western weapons or weapon skins? I'd love to play this game using a katana. Thanks. :)

1. We have no plans for a campaign or story mode right now. Mordhau is primarily a multiplayer game, however you will be able to play offline with bots that have a wide range of difficulty. 2. Please elaborate, the question is difficult to understand. Are you asking about passive sword collision outside of combat? If so, that is not planned and would not work out with the way Mordhau's combat system works. 3. There might be eastern armory in the future.

Thanks for the response! For number 2, I'll use Chivalry as an example; when you swing your sword at someone in chivalry and it hits them, the animation keeps going as if you didn't hit anything. It swings right through their body. Will that be the case in Mordhau, or will the sword collide with people's bodies when swung?

Why light armor have great resistance against blunt weapon? This is nonsense. Bounes wont brake? Actually light armor is only good against slash.

People do wear padding under armour plating, but it doesn't soothe transfer of blunt force trauma.

Indeed. What Mordhau does for first person combat. Exanima does for armor simulation.

Holy shit, this game is going to be good. It has every feature I've ever wanted from this kind of game, and then some, and it's all so polished and professional. I'm as hyped for this now as I am for Bannerlord II.

This looks great! Really looking forward to a playable version in the future.

I'm viewing this now and...where did the female customization go?

Will we ever be able to play as female characters or will it always be kept scrictly male?

One of the problems i personally had with chivalry was lack of larger battles, i really hope they make that happen!

THIS IS EVERYTHING IVE EVER WANTED IN CUSTOMIZATION

What I'd really like to see is center-grip shields(perhaps just aesthetically)...but what I'd like to see even more than that is proper Viking round-shields and swords(swords could be a skin for the Arming Sword). There's already a bunch of Viking stuff in the game, it'd be nice if we could get a proper shield and maybe a couple more variations on the helmet(perhaps one that's fancier and one that has the little side-plates?) Maybe also a Sutton Hoo Saxon helmet and a few more variations on the mail armor(perhaps a full length hauberk or an inverse gambeson over mail suit). Would absolutely love to see more dark ages stuff. Definitely buying this game, gonna do my best to be able to afford it...hope to Christ it's good and maintains a decent player-base.

So if I understand this correctly, you can only chose one of four types of armour classes for the head, chest and legs and customize the appearence of them? Will the customizing choices impact your armour rating in that case (exposed arms more vulnerable) and how much would you be able to mix things up? The first thing I thought of when I heard about armour customization is the idea of heavier armoured extremities (plate on legs & arms, open faced helmet on head) and lighter armour on the body, or other combinations of heavy & light armour such as more protection on exposed limbs (left leg and right arm) for a better balance between protection and mobility.

looks superb. I only hopes there is customizing to the shields as well with various shield shapes and some patterns to chose from for each shape.

Nobody will be able to make "monsters and naked women". there are limits to body customization, and there also aren't any actually naked players. women have the same armor as men, there isn't any crazy unrealistic armor for women. it's just another customization option.

So, how does your customization interact with team gameplay? Are the color palettes limited to certain team colors, will you have a marker of some sort distinguishing friends from foes, or something else?

You have a complete color palette for free for all modes. In team modes, you are forced to a certain color palette of that specific team.

They want you to be able to create the warrior you want. Besides, this is a fictional setting about mercenaries.

I have a question. Do some of the customization's within the main sets change stats? For example, if i have a medium armor set on the torso, but i remove the gauntlets, does that affect the stats if i have the gauntlet customization, or will it just be considered purely cosmetic and just be considered medium armor?

No. The torso stats are determined by the chest piece. The arms, gloves and shoulders are purely cosmetic.
