Definitely want these for the DFAM/Subharmonicon combo. I’m seeing (just looking around the room) that these may also fit things like Volcas/SQ-1/NTS-1, AIRA Compacts (would look especially hot on the S-1) and Gen X-1. Yeah they may be a bit pricey but if they improve your overall experience with the device (wether the knobs glide easier or it just looks nicer on camera and it gets more attention for it’s aesthetic value) I think it’s worth it. Like stands or decksavers (or those aftermarket wooden side panels that do nothing but look great and like “finished”) it’s those little extras that we may not do to every piece of gear but definitely the ones we really love. I could deck out and make uniform about a dozen pieces of gear but I’m limiting myself to 3 (2 packs)

I got some larger knobs for my Werkstatt a few years ago and I’m pretty sure I didn’t spend over $10. Just sourced them from an electronics company, small bear electronics if I remember correctly?

Think I might get these for my subharmonicon and DFAM. I got the knob kit from @Thonk for my DFAM, but they were a little big for me. Ended up replacing all my sticky Minibrute knobs with them.

Definitely smaller than I thought they’d be for sure. I do think they are better to fiddle with. Price was a bit high you’re right but I like them.

I have just ordered two sets of these for my sound studio + Mavis. A bit frustrating that they sell them in packs of 25 and I need 53. I guess the Mavis volume knob and they keyboard knobs aren't getting the upgrade. I found the Mavis tuning knob almost impossible to use as it came, you'd set the tune and then as you lifted your finger away there would be another micro adjustment, hopefully this upgrade will fix that.

I was thinking about getting the knobs for my dfam , but haven't got round to it . I have grandmother, and minitaur . Just wondering if I should bother with the Mavis ?🤔

Just depends on how much you use it. I did since it was only the tiny t18 trim pots on it. I wanted some larger knobs for more accurate and improved performance. All my other Moog synths have at least a mixture ya know?

It looks really good. They should have included these with it.

That’s what I was thinking. Don’t get me wrong, it looks great and does make it function better.

Does the top cover sit flush with these knobs installed?

Bought a set for my DFAM. Couldn’t believe it when I got them out of the envelope! Ridiculous. Fit well but they could have been double the size I reckon.

But the dfam doesn't have silkscreens. These are small enough that the print on the subharmonicon and mavis isn't obscured, which is a big plus for those users!

Get them from thonk, way better but harder to install

45 EURos in Europe for 25 pots :-(

Probably cost pennies to manufacture.

Maybe there are cheaper aftermarket alternatives…

Oh there totally are. I did for my werkstatt. I just thought I’d take a chance with some official Moog ones.
