Yeah it's the ultimate debate for people who like it both ways. I am trying to keep mine long for a while because it encourages me to take better care of my hair than when it is short

My daughter has fine hair as well. It took several years for her to realize shorter hair gave her much more volume. Her hair was a lot like yours and the longer it got it would just look stringy. It took her several years of going between long hair and short hair to realize short hair suited her best. You can still look cute and sexy with short hair!

Turned 30 last month. Time's been FLYING for me for almost a decade now. But yeah, working full-time definitely makes it worse. I think because so many of the days in the year blend together since I'm essentially doing the same thing every single day. Bit like groundhog day... that's what life with a full-time job feels like. I've been a freelancer for the last couple years and that's definitely helped with the feeling of time slipping like sand between my fingers. Used to be much worse when I had an office job. Now, time still passes as fast, but i at least feel like I have a bit more control over my own time.

Every year will feel faster and faster because you are comparing one year (365 days) to your previous lifetime (which is age x 365 days). Every year will feel shorter as you age

I suffer from anxiety and I don’t actually find practicing gratitude to be helpful because it leads to a Shane spiral for me. I’ve started asking myself what the worst outcome would be, realistically, if I wasn’t xyz. Like I also don’t like sitting and doing nothing, but the issue with not making yourself do it and giving into your productivity anxiety, you take away the rest from yourself that you need in order to be the most productive. So if you get the productivity anxiety when you are supposed to be relaxing ask yourself-what is the worst thing that would happen right now if I wasn’t productive?

  • @elizabethgraceb

    @elizabethgraceb

i agree!!! gratitude is important in a general sense, like recognizing that your life is enough, but harping on that only makes me feel guilty for “not appreciating” what i have when my brain is entirely working against that

I had already taken myself to the movies, to the bookstore (shopping in general), etc. It kind of made me realize I need to get a hobby or get out more to meet new people.. it was strange.

yes omg, I'm 26. turning 27 at the end of the year and I can't believe the year is about to be halfway over like what?? I feel like I just set my 2024 goals.. also I just got back from vacation so I'm feeling the existentialism HEAVY bc I was doing so much everyday while traveling and now we're back home and somehow my days feel a bit emptier or like I should be doing more. It's a tough cycle I guess lol, but vacation definitely makes me feel like my "mundane" everyday life is lacking something somehow which I don't necessarily think is a bad thing to want to add some fun to my everyday life but I do think it's unrealistic to be doing something new *every* single day. Still finding the balance

So basically you are either blessed with no cavities or with white teeth but not both 🥲 you seem to have very white teeth so maybe that can be the positive side of the cavities

I’m 28 and I feel time is flying. My fiancé and I get married this August (we’ve been engaged since Sept 2023, so in less than a year), we bought a house in February (right after I turned 28) and it’s just a lot of life in a short amount of time. I feel like we’re at that age where life milestones are so serious and heavy too. I know that the next big one is when I finish my masters degree or have a child and those are also such insane things to have done. Being in school and working makes my day to day feel long, not gonna lie, but seeing what the year looks like on paper feels insane!

Okay - first of all, so happy to see another video from you, Zoe! I’m wishing you all the best vibes to carry you through May ✨ And I’m 24 and it seems strange to say it, but I don’t find the years go by faster though the months do. Not sure if that makes sense. My line of work is super seasonal, so there’s a busy 3 months and then 9 months of more chill, slower time. And in terms of hair - it’ll grow back. I love giving my hair a chop (I’m addicted to cutting my own hair, and I fear I’m not good at it either. Curse the dopamine I obtain from scissors) but every time I panic, it’ll grow back. I vote trim, but your long hair looks great. It doesn’t have to be a big change. Sometimes just taking a little bit off satisfies the hair gods.

No, don’t chop your hair… at least not yet. I feel like it just grew out not so long ago. I personally think the long hair suits you better. Plus there are so many more hairstyle options with long hair. Love your classic low bun and there’s just so much more you can try with your hair. I don’t remember ever seeing you with a side part, for example. A side part low bun might give you that novelty you crave in a hair cut.

I'm 33. My 20s flew by. I feel like my life has slowed down a lot since covid/my divorce. I think time slows down/goes further when you spend it on yourself -- just like money xD For my friends with children, life flies by because they spend all their time thinking about and caring for the kids, their husbands, or working. For me at this point in my life, I love slow mornings and quiet weekends. It could change, it might not. I think everyone has their own pace that feels right for them. When you're bored or overwhelmed, those are clues from your body.

I started to watch your reset videos this year. It’s only videos I watch. And I noticed the pattern. In every single one of them you’re like oh, I wanna be this and that and feel this (everything positive) and literally after that you’re like BUT… and something stupid comes. Like weather is awful. Or I don’t know what to do in a week when at home. Like seriously, weather is something you literally can’t change so what about doing activities you don’t wanna do when it’s nice outside. Me being at home for a week, wouldn’t be enough. There’s too many things I wanna do at home or in the city. And what got me the most is I think my sister wanna sabotage me… what? How your sister wanna sabotage you with your hair?! Like no wonder you struggle with your mental health. I don’t mean it in a bad way, I just feel like your mindset ain’t really in a positive settings and maybe you don’t realise that. And about the age and time flying, I’m 31 and over a year I think I’m just blinking my eyes and it’s end of the week. So I decided to quit my 9-5 (will work until mid June) and take 6 month to deeply focus on things I really wanna do before I’ll be old. Hopefully will slow down the time a bit

Every time my hair starts getting longer, i always start getting thoughts about chopping it off. Short hair looks super cool and chic and i always compliment other girls when the get their haircuts. However I'm super lazy and short hair needs styling and regular visits to the hairdressers for upkeep. Whereas i can put my long hair in a braid and be done with it. Still think it would look adorable on you though 😅

Time feels faster now because we're experiencing fewer new things! There have been multiple studies done on human perception of time, and they have really interesting results! I feel like as children, time passes so slowly because so many things are new to us!! There are so many changes we have to go through in the first 20 years of our lives, and it kind of just tapers off after that. Time passing by faster since covid also aligns with that theory since during covid we were all basically doing the same thing over and over. In summary, monotony=time passing by faster 😂

Re dentist, it's genetic. I brush my teeth 3-4x/day (it's common in Brazil to brush always after eating) and every year I have at LEAST 1 cavity :( Flossing every day helps a lot! But needs to be every day...

I'm 29 and life is passing by so quickly! I also think it's because we're much busier than we were as children. As children every day felt long as we had a lot of choice of how to use that time! Nowadays our days ar already sketched out fully!

Wanting to be a glam and sophisticated mom with elegant long hair is real. I grew mine out to maybe my belly button. And then pp hair loss and ppd/ppa was SO bad i had to take dull kitchen scissors to my hair. Finally back to that point and my son is 3 and not wt the hair pulling stage. Life is better.
