'Monster' Hurricane Beryl upgraded to category five as it slams into Caribbean

Widespread damage has been reported just hours after Hurricane Beryl first made landfall in the southeastern Caribbean.
Roofs were ripped off buildings, trees were uprooted and electricity lines brought crashing to the ground on several islands when the ferocious storm swept in earlier on Monday.

Not enough people outside of the weather community are talking about this. Beryl is the earliest category 5 hurricane in the Atlantic on record and one of only 3 major hurricanes (Cat 3+) in the month of June in the Atlantic. This is truly something we’ve never had to deal with this early in the year in recent times

Does anyone else find it interesting that this storm is named after a mineral (natural & man made) that's probably the same as the one been sprayed/dusted in our atmosphere to "weather seed" or "reflect sun" ???

Hurricanes are expected or can occur every year in the carribbean. Sometimes, it is mild and is called a tropical storm. These storms are given women and men names. Beryl is a woman's name. Someone knows a Beryl in the carribbean. Beryl is also a green semi-precious gem stone.

The name "Beryl" has been used eight times in the history of naming the Atlantic Hurricane Season. It has been called "Tropical Storm Beryl" in 1982, 1988, 1994, 2000, 2006 & 2012 and Hurricane Beryl in 2018. So, to answer your question - no, I don't find it interesting.

Incredible. Only days ago, I was watching the cricket T20 World Cup being played on grounds in these islands..... Please don't tell me - it's bound to be "climate change"!! haha Lunatics. It's called "weather"! When London is hit with 185mph winds and twisters, I might begin to consider the outrageous claims of the climate loonies, but not before.
