Dear God, Jamaica is currently on the world stage because of an impending category 5 storm called Beryl. I ask that You keep us safe.untill this storm and any other storm that might be.coming our and other country's way. Give us peace and calmness against any destructive spiritual or physical storm approaching your people in every country on this earth. Thanks for bringing peace and calmness to Your people on earth.

*If god is all-knowing he knew this would happen *If god is all-powerful he could stop it *If god is all-loving he would want to stop it. *Joshua 10:14 says god doesn't listen to your prayers.

Prayers are important. But I have seen many buildings survive a category 5 plus Hurricane Irma. I do not know how they build in Jamaica but let us pray instead

Prayers, Prepared and Common Sense This isn’t a joke I lived through cat 5 Andrew in the 90s, it was horrific No food, water, phones, power, help The military came by helicopters dropping down by ropes with weapons and their were curfews

I survive hurricane Andrew in Florida 1992 and hurricane Gilbert in Jamaica 1988. Both cat.5. It’s a powerful experience. Jamaica has a very organized and efficient disaster plan. I hope they still do. I pray for the safety of everyone.

You’d think the airlines would be rushing people out of there, not cancelling flights

The sad truth is, no country or airline is responsible for their passengers in weather conditions such as this. Best they can do is try & get people home or reschedule flights till after the storm. I ran into this issue when the east coast of the U.S had an electrical block-out in 08. Trying to get home from Canada. The flight prior to mine was the last one out. Was stranded at the airport & decided to grab a room before they all fill the hotels up. No compensation from anyone. just the middle finger.

Hurricane; June to soon; July stand-by; August, come they must; September, remember; October, all over. Although due to climate changes, this poem may need to be changed. It has never been safe to vacate until September.
