    Two fish were on a blind date. The lady fish asked the guy fish what he does for a living. He said I do operations at the hospital. She said oh, you must be a Sturgeon...😊

    Two replies: first, the obligatory "Oh, ALAN! 🙄🙄😪😪" and the second: Your joke didn't make me guffaw out loud, but it DID make me smile bigger than usual, so it's NOT that bad. You shared it with me, and the chat, to brighten our day, and I appreciate that. What, you were expecting insults? Mmmmm, not really my thing; hope you're not disappointed. 😁😁😄😄

    That water is beautiful, clear with green plants on the substrate, just remarkable! I know I have shared the story before of me stepping on a Sturgeon thinking it was a log, scared the living piss out of me! I am near the North Santiam river in Oregon, by a small town called Jefferson, I remember seeing an old photograph of a 18 foot? Sturgeon being yarded out of the river here by Mules, 1868 or so.

    Present company obviously excepted, I would kill to see that old photo. Not a human or mammal heavier than 3 oz, but any number of mosquitoes, horseflies, etc. Next time I'm down Oregon way, I'm going to stop in Jefferson; I'm intrigued. Oh, btw, I have several sticklebacks in my aquarium. Cool little fish, cool channel name. 😎

    The first time I saw a video of someone landing one of these huge fish I.was blown away. Now I've seen a few videos of what seems to be the same fish being caught time after time and now seeing that it's no more than a two foot deep dead end stream just saddens me seeing the majestic creatures being dragged from pillar to post, same with the alligator gar hook em and drag them in they don't seem to put up much fight. Again just dragging in a huge lump. Funny how opinions can change just like that.

  • @wildlifefishingshow

    @wildlifefishingshow

    This stream is over 8 feet deep. The fight you saw in this video is no different than any other fight you've seen before, you just feel different being able to see the fish. And don't presume to tell me what it's like hanging on to a 300lb alligator gar, a 150lb sturgeon, a 150lb ray, a 200lb shark, etc. It always looks easy to those who haven't done it.

    @@wildlifefishingshow bro I totally enjoy your videos and the ethics you have for fishing. You’re one of a few fishing channels I watch. I didn’t mean to imply these things are easy to catch. It was just the fact these huge fish being in a small, relatively shallow and crystal clear waterway had no sporting element to it. You knew where they were and they were pretty much cornered. I’m just being soft mate ‘I just saw a family of fish with one being dragged away! Just my opinion and I just felt like letting you know that’s all!

    Intereseting , beautifull annimals who shouldend be haunted ! ! ! ! ! they would grow much more on a big lake and bread over there ! Like this it is easy to catch them... I like this fish even more then alligator gar ! Ad home I have a pound ( 40.000 gallons ) with koi and 1 sturgeon , and my sturgeon commes to me and eats food out of my hands. You can make them verry friendly to humans . Sturgeons are as good as blind , but he knows it is me on my footsteps . If he hears me, he commes to the surface to asks for food.
