THE BOY IS BACK, the biggest mistake I ever see is mismatching flouro to braid sizes, people need to look up which size flouro and mono leaders go best with whatever braid they're throwing like 20lb 30lb 40lb braid, It really makes a massive difference. My favorite size braid to use for my baitcasters is 30lb green or red powerpro for saltwater if I'm going for trout reds or black drum. Hell anything really lol

That's super quality advice! I never thought of it, just sort of do it haha.

Another thing to note on the braid vs mono front, If you use mono regularly in saltwater it actually deteriorates quicker and you have to change it out more often than braid, with braid you can just take your spools off(spinning reels atleast) and wash them with distilled water and let them dry and it's good as new

Eh. Atleast the 1 spool of stren you buy last 2-3 years and cost 8 bucks. I rather swap mono more frequently as fresh line is better to fish on that beat up old braid.

@@MrBrizzled Lucky Bastard! I use braid mostly; but mono is highly disrespected as a main line lately. It’s great for a main line still. If you wanna take a tons of kids or non fishermen out; it’s perfect!

I use all lines; each has a purpose; but if you had to give me 1 line to fish everything, that’s Mono. It’s good, cheap, and just plain works.
