I was fishing a kayak tournament last September outside of a harbor’s jetties and got too comfortable when fishing standing up. I rolled the kayak and lost about $800 in two rod/reel setups. I make sure everything is tethered and secure now or floats, boat or kayak.

That is some tough luck, but just enjoy being out on the water!

Wow , well "IT IS WHAT IT IS" . Bottom line your gonna have those kinda days , hopefully you can keep them to a minimum, all you can do is pick yourself back up and move forward best you can. Star Rod VPR! I love it

why bend your rod sideways you will snap it its just like high sticking it . and set your drag to 1/3 the breaking strain of your line but it also depends on the rod ratings so it your choice . You probably already know this im just saying 🤔
