This video is one of a kind. So far its the only video I found that has a jackshaft with sprocket on the right side. Thats what I want to do. Everyone else runs their sprockets on the left side of their bikes which I dont like having a chain on both sides of the bike. It just looks crappy. Two chains on one side looks better. Glad to see someone finally went the (difficult?) route of running the chain on the right side so now I can see it can be done.

First of all I gotta say, the camera guy did a awesome job, as far as the kewl bike, the clue to what's giving you trouble is you mentioned the bike has sat for a while, generally the fuel in the carburetor left for long periods of time will gunk up a carb. Either take it apart and clean it or replace it, it should run fine, also I love the exhaust system.

Use a simple siphon pump to remove the ethanol from your gas -- it's safe and easy - look it up. And always keep a new or known good spare carburetor cause it's always the culprit. 5 minutes to find out that way.

How has the Jack Shaft holding up? I hear different things about reliability, but does seem like the easiest way to motorize a fat tire bike.

We ran a boat motor that had water in the tank and we revved that very high otherwise it would stop.
