Thank you got one of these to do soon. Now know what's involved. Had similar job on Transit connect van. Made long slim torx driver by cutting shaft from cheap screw driver type & welding into 8mm 3/8 socket. Looks like it's going to be needed again so time well spent!

No need to lock/time the pump, it just needs to turn to make high pressure for the fuel rail. There is constant Pressure at the injectors and they spray when they are switched by the ecu.

Martin Maxwell true - but it is still not a bad idea to keep the timing right in the chain. That’s the idea behind making sure the sprocket stays in the same place.

Hi there, I am not an expert in Mechanic, therfore i needs you avdice please. If I cancelled my EGR Valve( With delete pipe) Should i needs to disconnect the electrical connector and Pressure pipe connected to EGR? They are on the back of the EGR. TDDI 2001 Hatcback. thx for you reply imhauseable

Was the kit expensive mate. I have a freind who may have to replace his pump. He has bad injectors just now car will start on brake cleaner runs in a limp mode. But Chucks a heap of fuel back. His car is the mk3 Tdci 2.2 euro 4 someone had put 601 injectors in it which I believe are from euro 3 . Cheers mate 👍

Frit fra hukommelsen mener jeg der gik 3 timers tid med det. Det hjælper at have prøvet det før. Jeg tager desværre ikke opgaver ind :-/

Yeah sure, I found mine on eBay.co.uk there are a hundred different sellers all selling the same thing.
