Brilliant video! wish I could have a gasser. I'm stuck to EPP and Foam for now :). At least it's cheaper for me if I have a crash like that Tiger-moth did!

Red Sailor Thank you for your great comment. EEP and foamy are not that bad. They are great looking and gives a lot of fun to fly. Yes, the Tiger Moth had a bad day. The engine stopped no rudder was working. After checking the systems ... no failure was found. All batteries were found o.k. :(

Great compilation - thank you! These crashes are just part of the hobby, as you stated, nobody is perfect. There will always be either technical failures or pilot errors on some occasions... :-)

I have been flying for almost 25 years. Crashing is part of the hobby. Scale trainer foam helicopter sport or aerobatic they all crash

Great job Horst! As always enjoy all your work. This year I'm entering .60 size gas 20cc in my topflite p51d. The build has been in RC planes community. With a few cool ideas. Maybe one day I will be in the big league. Thee guys inspire me. As we say nothing ventured, nothing gained. Hope for more of your work in 15.

That's another year of your excellent videos which I enjoy so much and your channel is one of my favourites. Thanks and keep up the excellent work.

Thanks my friend. That was all I had recorded in nine different air shows. Except for a further 4 crashes, which I had not filmed. When you consider that several hundred flights went without problems, it were very few crashes. _have a nice 2015 !!!_

Very nice gathering. The rc planes are beautiful. It must have been so much fun.

I believe that these videos are filmed over a year. So there are hundreds or thousands of landings and only enough crashes to fill a 10min of video. Its not like this was filmed in one day and everybody crashed. Anyways, cool planes and nice video.

Great compilation Horst! Shame about the Tiger Moth and the Boomerang, but glad to see most was just minor damage! That P47 that did the bomb drop was incredibly lucky! Keep up the good work :)

For some reason..watching a warbird greasing in on grass with an engine out or with gear failure is strangely satisfying. Some really lovely aircraft here..

RCScaleAirplanes I hear you my friend. I have started to get an increasing number of dislikes on my videos too. Ironically, the dislikes usually land on the videos that get the most likes. As for myself, if I watch a bad video, I will just leave without voting. In my humble opinion, the only time a dislike is appropriate is when there is offensive content. I think that a lack of likes is a good enough indication that the video is lacking in some way. It is hard to not take dislikes personally because we try so hard to put out a good video. I suppose however, we can take some small comfort from knowing that the people leaving the dislikes are not people that have a great outlook on life(?) All the best to you Horst and I look forward to each and every one of your videos. Let's have an awesome 2015! Gruss, Bob

Danke Klaus. Im Nachhinein ist dieser Rückblich auch für (manche) Piloten unterhaltsam. Natürlich schmerzt ein Totalverlust. Das ist aber sicher nicht der Grund, weshalb die Zuschauer zu einem Flugtag kommen. In den ersten 2 Jahren habe ich auch 3 Modelle geerdet, bzw. "gebaumt". Shit happend :) _Viele Grüße, Horst_

Bei zirca 60 Stunden Videoaufnahmen kommt es schon einmal vor, dass man durch Zufall etwas außergewöhnliches aufnimmt. _Dir auch ein gutes und erfolgreiches neues Jahr._

RCScaleAirplanes Eine gewisse "Leidensfähigkeit" gehört zu dem Hobby dazu: gut ist, wenn es eine Gemeinschaft gibt, die einen ggf. auch mal auffängt, wenn man selber nach einem Crash deprimiert sein sollte :-)... z.B. mit einem Schluck Bier.

wuseling Tröstende Worte sind immer vorhanden. Natürlich ist es nicht leicht, einen so großen Verlust mit nem Schluck Bier vergessen zu machen. Bei manchen hilft's dennoch :)

Love the CPR on the 'pilot' of the Moth at 4:0 - excellent. Who would have thought that the Germans actually DO have a sense of humor.

The models are exquisite, you guys are master builders! If I may add a comment or 2 about the flying? I am a commercial pilot with 4000hrs experience and a flight instructor. Please, I dont mean to sound clever - I just want to offer some advice to help if I can, then these beautifull models can live longer :) (I have crashed a few RC models myself) 1. I see a lot of guys approaching the landing close to the stall (The wings are waggling and the A/C is sluggish) The next phase is falling out of the sky. Trim the nose slightly down and keep the speed healthy to avoid this condition. 2. When your approach is unstable (too high, fast, slow, off runway etc) - Go around. On the go around carefull of too much power at low speed. Your rudder does not have a lot of airflow over it at that stage and might not be able to counteract the yaw. Advance the throttle smoothly but positive and keep a shallow angle until your speed has increased - then climb away. 3. When you have a hard landing and start bouncing - the worst you can do is push the nose down. It will just make it worse. Its called 'porpoising' and the best way to stop it is just keep the nose slightly up and let the aircraft lose its energy - then it will settle and land. 4.Start trimming and throttling back on the base leg already (Small changes). On finals you can then make small trim changes - then you wont need as much up and down elevator and your landings will be much easier and smoother. I hope I could offer a bit of advice to help, Enjoy the flying ! Hendrik Brink South Africa

+Hendrik Brink These guys need serious flying instructions, I am glad you provided some reading material for these bunch, you forgot to mention rudder control which I am sure non of these guy even know what it is, if you do closer look nobody even try it. lets not talk about drinking and flying, not a good mix.

Some pilots might observe others having a problem running into the ditch on right side of runway, and so take action to avoid the ditch. But not here today. Each flyer in turn is somehow doomed and can do nothing to save themselves from the curse of the right hand rut.

Even the crashes look like the real thing.
