RC AIRPLANE RADIO CONTROL CRASH COMPILATION
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
This is a compilation of remotely controlled aircraft crashing at the Santa Clara County Model Aircraft Sky-park, you can find out more about the site at by searching SCCMAS on the internet.
The glider crashing happens at the Los Banos, California reservoir. The A-10 crash was on the 9,200 foot long NASA Ames runway at Moffett Field, in Mountain View CA.
The airplane landing on a boat was Lake Almanor, California.
And don't complain about any repeats on the video, if you want to have a copy of the video without repeat video send me $400 and I will mail you a copy.
It may look like there are a lot of bad pilots in the club, but with 400 members and lots of experimentation going on, they are not so bad.
Please "Like" the video & "subscribe" to the channel, I also post real aircraft on my "wcolby" channel.

You know you're a bad controller when the RC pilot ejects. 0:35
Whoever came up with the idea of lining the runway with barrage ballons, thank you for the nice video!
I feel really bad for the people who spent all those man hours building the aircraft, not to mention money only to loose it all in the blink of an eye. Thanks for sharing this with us all. 😔👍🇬🇧🏴

That’s what simulators are for, a bunch of these could’ve been avoided with practice
Never fly a stabilized approach, never land at the right airspeed, never go around, and never flare, just wheel barrow it in! Love these!

i honostly thought they flew these warbird s thinking not today im going to plow a good one in just proves my theory all planes have useby dates
Gorgeous planes and video work. Full props to builders & pilots. Glad that many crashes were mild and hopefully repairable.
0:34 Pilot has no parachute=Priceless👍👍❤
The A-10 ejection is extremely cool - never saw a model ejection and the body swinging first is the topper. I would never criticize planes crashing - because I remember that feeling when I was 13 years old and my plane augering in. Great video - I don't know why you have so many cry babies and down votes. I like the offer of sending in $400!

I love the camera views from these things. What an incredible hobby.

Perfect video for a rainy Sunday ! thanks
A moments silence please for all the man hours we lost today.

When you think about it, even the successful pilots air time probably pales in comparison to the amount of hours put into building. So really its more about the journey and flying it is icing on cake. Back home in the long winter evenings its the building it which provides the most enjoyment whether they realise it or not. I'm referring to the larger projects here.

My uncle was very into radio controlled planes. Watched him build a absolutely beautiful P-51 with gas engine. Took 1 guy too hold it back too warm up and check with motor running. On maiden flight, another pilot got on his radio frequency, and the plane hit the only fire hydrant for 4 Sq miles.....

Right on the money.
Great footage.
The ww2 warbirds even crash majestical, such a beautiful design. These videos really demonstrate the skill level required to fly these models.
May I suggest using a different strip. Preferably one with a foam runway and no barriers ;)
I didn’t realise how sad this was going to be.

Reminds me of my first flight ever with my (very) old Heath Kit controller set. I was flying one of those simple trainer/beginners, a Falcon. It had a hard time getting airborne, as I hadnt got the AOA high enough. The classic rookie crash: I made a perfect turn, but got confused when it came towards me and crashed it over the wing.

My first was a 5ft Eagle. Painted it with natural Eagle colors. Never occurred to me that I would not be able to see an Eagle's camouflage against the trees around the airfield. Completely lost sight of it during the landing. Didn't end well.
0:40 the pilot just bailed out
Pretty awesome that we have cameras on these small planes now.
What a lovely place to fly with the hills and the lake. Beautiful. Where is it? Just to know.
Could I suggest a couple of Club trainers, and lessons on how to balance a model?????

Mid air collisions were the best! Perhaps some ATC is in order

are the fighter planes exact scale replicas or do they need to be modified slightly in order to fly at a smaller scale?
Electrics just dont have the same crashing effect when they auger in as nitro/gassers do!
@covercalls88
5 жыл бұрын
That is usually because nearly all electrics are made of foam and are lighter compared to Glow/Gas planes which are made of wood and fiberglass. So when gas/glow hits there are lots of parts to fly around.
@arturama8581

@Paul Dawson Used to get cuts in my fingers from starting my engines. Fuel (alcohol) spilled over my hands. Hurts! Sticky smelly oil everywhere! Today I just connect a battery and fly. If I had been building for weeks, months, even years on a scale modell, I think it would never fly. I'd put it up on the wall and just look at it. I can build a plane in a day now with foam and hot glue. It just doesn't hurt as much when it hits the ground. And any RC pilot knows his plane is going to hit the ground someday. If pilot error doesn't do the trick, tech failure will! And the scream of a 100+mph foamy will get me goosebumps just as easy.
Was that the little pilot screeming at 3:35 lol
I visited this field a few years back. Somebody asked me if I came just to watch the flying but I told 'em that I came just to watch the crashes..... Had a few of my own wrecks over time too. Part of the hobby I guess.
