Geez. Never seen so many people flying planes that are way beyond their skill level.

These people look like they've just been handed a transmitter and told 'See if you can fly this'!

For a bunch of guys who don't seem to know what they're doing - they DO seems to having fun.

The crash recovery infrastructure tells a lot about this flying field and it's members 😄

Someone needs to explain expo and mixing to them!

As a model aircraft flyer of 50 years - I'm the last one to want to judge other model flyers. BUT - a proper executed landing approach - with a glide slope is paramount to a successful landing. Not just diving for the strip.

Yep... Land before you have a dead stick as well. That means a reliable engine & setup. these flyers just dove at the strip with no consistent approach at all. I hardly ever missed the runway and we often had puddles to dodge here in FL. Most times after landing I taxied my plane right up to where I was standing and cut the engine with throttle low trim tab that's how well you need to have the plane set up. I flew on the ham radio channel because I had a ham license so having a channel was never an issue. The only problem was per AAA rules only 4 pilots could be flying at once at our airfield (which was golf range parking lot).

It looks like the only person in this club that can actually fly is the drone pilot. He was the ONLY one that didn't crash, except for a minor mid air.

And if you can afford a car or basically any tool it doesn't automatically mean you can operate it perfectly, so what.

Yikes! 🙂 Your flying site is like the deck of an aircraft carrier: small, unforgiving, and surrounded by stuff you'd rather not have to land on! Thanks for this video - it's very entertaining.

This is what incompetence, in all forms, looks like.

This club is well known for throw away turbines. They crash so much that they have a flatbed go-cart to retrieve the wreckage

I never seen so many mid-air collisions, flame outs, servo failures, drained lipos, and uncontrollable flat spins from 1 airfield. I think that's a world record lol. But at least everything can be replaced or repaired since the factory/manufacturer is close by.

That yellow delta wing is tough! Some of the drone footage here is just outstanding, really cool to get the bird’s eye view on an in-flight RC.

The P-40 Warhawk is much bigger than I originally thought! Very nice plane, built pretty sturdy too.

You enjoy quite a lot, and so I did watching the video. As others has pointed out, it seems that some pilots are learning to fly with turbines and scale models, instead of using some kind of trainer (more stable and forgiving)

Exactly! These people should not be flying these type of aircraft with their obvious lack of experience in the basics of flying! They obviously don't have a lack of money though, what beautiful giant scale R/C models! I flew everything from from park flyers to giant scale and full size aircraft and was an intro pilot/instructor for over 40 years at the local flying club site and airfield. Unfortunately I suffered a seizure in 2012 that caused me to lose my medical, and even though all of the dozens of doctors I eventually had to see ran a multitude of tests on me, including wearing a helmet like devise that had a whole bunch of little probes trying to poke into my head while I tried to stay awake as long as necessary so as to induce a seizure. It took me four days without sleep or taking my medications and I finally had a seizure for them to "map" in my brain but they still couldn't find out what exactly happened and even though they have them under control with medications I will never get my medical back. Now either the seizures or the handfull of medications I take every day are causing me to have shaking and sometime bad twitching in my hands and fingers so even though I still fly cheap little "parkflyer foamies" that don't cost much and can really take a beating, I quit building and flying my favorite which were giant scale WWII fighters from all of the allied and axis types. So now I build and race classic Mopar (Chrysler-Dodge-Plymouth) muscle cars with my son, who I also taught to fly when he was five.

​@@MoparMissileDivision that's terrible. Can't imagine how hard it must be to lose your favorite hobbies. Have you tried putting gyros in an rc plane. They have all kinds of stabilizing features that you might be able to set it up for you to fly even with shaky hands.

The area surrounding that field must be filled with a lot of unrecovered wrecks.

lol. How many appearances did that orange jet (the one that was hit by the drone) make in this video? Drone crash, tree crash, runway fence crash, hover crash, hard landing into barricade crash, hard landing pushes gear through the wing crash. In the clip with the drone collision you can see the repair from the crash at 26:00 pushing the gear through the top of the wings. Just watching that high alpha hover, I'd think the pilot was highly skilled. But I think he may be more brave than skilled.

I've had a lot of those types of crashes in my 1st 12 years of flying models. But I've gotten better since then. This year I start my 13th year. There's always hope. 😁

Great video. Some of these flyers need to do a study on CG placement. A few could have been avoided by adding nose weight.

The best Crash Compilation I have seen so far.

That one Mirage had more crashes in this video than I had in the entire 10 years I flew RC from slope gliders to 1/4 scale competition.😂

Guys,your club could use a trainer plane and trainer to straighten out the takeoff and landing process.its a beautiful field but my pilot station would be behind the fence!

Well it is a crash video so they don't put the good flights on here. The guy hovering the jet looked competent but had the flameout at the wrong time.. Or right time because it looked like it didn't take any damage.

Just found this channel and love your relaxed attitude to crashes and still happy and laughing after some very expensive fails 😀

Exactly, these folks have the proper attitude about crashes, they have a good laugh and move on, no need to call the NTSB or attend a wake service for crying out loud.

It's good that you have so many trees around - there is a place to land in an emergency... In my club, no one would fly such expensive models until they learned the basics of steering. Well, but apparently you have too much money and you can afford such modelling crap. Hence the active operation of the moving platform for collecting the remains of models from the area. I guess I'm too old, because I appreciate original modeling, not just FLYING models.

Looks like you are all having fun. I have to agree some of the crashes look like Center of Gravity issues. I like to use sticky wheel weights for my planes. Those warbirds are always tail heavy, especially the edf bearcat that the young lady was flying. She did good though.

This brings back happy memories - a friend of mine was in to this when we were kids. His plane got a little out of range and took a nosedive into a far away field. When we found it (his twin and I), the servos were twitching and pulling on disembodied flaps and such. We died laughing!

What happened to the Sabre, did it survive? Seems like you had lots of crashes and I believe you have lost a few planes in the woods surrounding the flying club. That Mirage 2000 is beautiful.

I'm not a pilot but I'm not here to practice at being a troll either. I want to learn to fly these aircraft ( I'm 73 years old) and I've outgrown being a smart @$$. That nearly made me sick to my stomach to see the first crash, it was such a beautiful plane. I have built several aircraft but never flown one. Is there anyone who would either take me on as a student or direct me somewhere? BTW, the first clip, was that plane of Russian design? Thank you for sharing.

All I can say is: OUCH

Such beautiful model aircraft, so much time cash and skill used to end up on a motorised flatbed. I think your going to need a bigger flatbed tuck tuck 😂 Heartbreaking to watch sometimes, but as usual couldn’t stop watching !

I get the feeling they feel bad if they don't spend money on planes once a week.
