She is an exceptional guitar player from a technical point of view, and her cross picking is second to none. She is also a bit cleaner than Billy in terms of raw flat picking, and I suspect her accuracy is a little sharper. Billy gets right in your face with his energy and comes at you in an enjoyably aggressive style. He can probably play faster than Molly, but I also feel his longer solos tend to play out over a single chord. I'd rather listen to Billy but if it came right down to it I would find it impossible to rank one over the other. They're great guitar players and that's about it.

I have never heard or seen this woman before, but man her lead guitar picking.. That style is just different.. everything from her ear for what she likes/sounds good, down to the way she moves her wrist when she picks, like real percussive. It's something about the way she plays is just very unique, of course in a badass way.

Guy who wrote this song was Sam Chatmon, played with the Mississippi Sheiks who recorded it. Billy does about as good a rendition as Iv'e heard.

It’s like Billy takes us through a wormhole in the universe at the end of his solo, and when we come out the other side it all makes perfect sense.

Each time I watch Molly in clips like this, and marvel at her awesome musicianship, and see that killer smile of hers, I can't help but ponder the following: Why couldn't Molly have come on the scene while I was still out touring, & playing Bluegrass Music!!! I would've loved & treasured sharing a stage or two with her!!! ☺️ What a tremendous talent, and I'm quite sure, a very sweet young lady to be around. Ron Abilene, TX.

Definitely in my top five. Check out Jake Workman! Billy isn’t just a great picker on multiple instruments, he’s a great singer, and a great songwriter. I know Molly plays several instruments as well, and she write great songs. She’s been techinv the boys how it’s done for a while now!

she is no where near that dudes level. she plays rhythm guitar. sorry to say it. but on her best day she couldnt compete with billy in his sleep with one hand. you heard just as much of her as needed. having her any louder wouldnt have made it any better. it would have made it worse. the one part where she actually go screwed was they didnt film her solo. they got it from an angle where she was covered by billy.

It speaks of his character and love for what he does when he really enjoys watching the other players do their thing. "Who's better" don't really matter when everyone is playing

It's simply fantastic that this style of music has been kept alive and well by younger folks of this calibre

It is so evident in this video that Billy is at heart an enthusiastic fan of music. He delights in the performances of everyone with whom he performs. It’s great to see him grinning from ear to ear as Molly and his bandmates-virtuosos every one-react to his energy and give it back.

Mississippi shreiks wrote and recorded this long before Doc got ahold of it. Cream recorded it as a rock and roll song in the sixties and made it a much bigger hit.

Billy is getting tight here. Molly is the smoothest flat picker ive ever heard. Like a breath of fresh air for some one like me that focusses on least amount of pick strokes. While she can still pick every note and be that smooth is boggling to me.

I like at the end Molly says "Thank You" to Billy and he says "I Love You Molly" the the says "I Love You too"! That's sweet Man

It's 4:15 on a Saturday afternoon and the last 3 and a half minutes were the most productive part of my day. Pure enjoyment.

Billy Strings is a top notch player. There's no question about it. But Molly just has something extra in her playing that very few pickers ever have. She is amazing!

I saw Billy Strings at 4Peaks Festival in Oregon. Waiting for him to come back.

Watching Strings play is like watching those irish riverdance people....like there legs aren't even connected

Robert Wright - Hope? Blue/Newgrass is on fire! Check out some of the things Jack White’s been up to... not that he’s a talent like these two but ‘grass is influencing everything and popularity of the core traditional genre is growing too. I told a friend that this new young generation is going to explode the popularity of the genre, probably leading ultimately to its demise. Billy's a real crossover. I come from heavy music and I def would go see him in concert. Man I wish this pandemic would just stop.

It’s great to see a new generation take charge, and with passion.

I like how Billy keeps his eye on Molly's left hand while she works.. A sign of respect if I've ever seen one.

Just tops; love it whenever Molly and Billy play songs together. Both bands are terrific. Both guitarists are tops.

Billy and Molly are the Royals of the new generation of bluegrass, such a treat to see them throwing down together!

What am I doing here? I was watching old blues musicians and came across this almost accidentally. Now I can’t stop watching. And Billy is so respectful of all the other musicians playing with him. Brilliant. I’ve discovered a whole new genre of music to me.
