Moist Chocolate Banana Bread Muffins | All Natural Ingredients!

These whole wheat dark chocolate banana bread muffins are so rich, moist and delicious! You can enjoy them guilt free as they are a healthier alternative to regular muffins yet still taste amazingly good! They are made with all natural ingredients - NO refined sugar or white flour. Enjoy them with your tea, coffee, or a glass of milk. This recipe makes 12 muffins. Warning...these muffins will be gone quickly as everyone who tries them loves them. Here is the recipe:
3 ripe Bananas
2 Eggs (at room temperature)
1/2 cup Greek Yogurt
1/2 cup Milk of choice (can use Almond Milk)
1/4 cup pure Maple Syrup
1 teaspoon pure Vanilla Extract
1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
1/2 cup Dark Cocoa Powder
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup Dark Chocolate Chips
1/2 cup chopped Walnuts (Optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. or 180 degrees C.
Mash bananas in a large bowl. Add eggs and combine thoroughly. Then mix together remaining wet ingredients: Greek yogurt, milk, maple syrup, and vanilla.
Next add in dry ingredients and mix until fully incorporated. Fold chocolate chips into the mixture. Pour mixture into a greased muffin tin, filling each up about 2/3 full.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean from the centre of the muffin. Allow to cool for 10 minutes. You can also sprinkle with powdered sugar when they have totally cooled (for a nicer look). Enjoy!
