    Hey man! Ive got the same setup. Yiyun yk31c speed controller. I have 2 of these razors.. the first razor worked great from the start. The second....I have tried 3 different new speed controllers. Turn the key on..shows I have 40 volts charge.. twist the throttle . Nothing happens. I hooked up my original speed controll from my working scooter and everything works. Hook up the other controllers....nothing happens. I have a hard time believing I have 3 faulty new speed controllers.. do you have any ideas?

    I've been following your videos and was getting ready to do the two LION battery, controller and throttle update (not the motor) but now I'm seeing this video. Did you have to upgrade the controller on this update or did you stay with the 800W from the original build? I like that there will be less speed since I'll be building this mostly for my three boys. Please post a new parts list if you have time. Thank you.

  • @TheCaffeineRacer

    @TheCaffeineRacer

    3 жыл бұрын

    yes through the original charging port as shown in my build video. port is connected to the charging wires of the new Controller though you have to check and make shore you get + & - round the right way and that it matches to the charger plug otherwise your charger will go bang. This happened to me the ltihium packs pack alot of punch fairly dangerous if you make a mistake and short them.

    So I got mine fully built Tim, 36v 800w controller (I added a few xt60 connections), variable thumb throttle , three hoverboard batteries (connected in parallel) and the currie 24v 500w motor (had to use an xt90 connector for this as the cables were thick!!) I took it for a spin starting with 41.8v on my display, 21mph off the bat (I weigh 13.5 stone so happy with that speed) managed to get around 3 or 4 miles on various gradients, but at 32.2v on my display it just bogged out and pretty much lost all power!! I’m putting this down to the batteries if I’m honest I didn’t listen to you and I went cheap as I just wanted to get a feel for building one of these things but I just couldn’t believe they would bog out when there’s that much power still left inside the batteries!! do you recommend anywhere to purchase good quality batteries and what sort of price should I be looking at spending? I went for Samsung 36v 4.4ah via AliExpress and I got some shocking “KEDANONE” ones delivered so I’m currently in dispute over this matter with the seller but I’d greatly appreciate somewhere reliable to purchase some batteries! Appreciate your help Tim.
