That was a solid box. The Borderless Kitties and Sapphire Medallion were my favs.

Hadn’t even thought about the Pride but once it popped up, couldn’t have been happier! Also, that Sapphire Medallion (along with all the other Borderless foils) is incredible looking.

100%. I’ve been really pleased with my MH3 opening experiences thus far.

Love opening this set. Especially collector boosters. Am enjoying draft so far though early days. Have had success with the golgari +1 archetype. Went 2-0, 2-0 then got demolished by a Kozilek eldrazi deck at this week’s FNM.

Yeah these collector boxes have been great to me thus far! Nice job in limited. I am going to have to give GB counters a shot. I’ve gone 2-0-1 and 2-1 in draft thus far.

Gonna be super interesting to see where Fetch lands and Medallions end up and what new cards go to the moon and what others go to ZERO! Thanks for the opening, good to see ya get some cards heading right for the collection. I love it!

Any time I can add multiple cards to my personal collection, that’s. Good box. This one brought me many adds so I’m psyched.

Shadow of the Second Sun is a card I am glad is cheap; I built a Breya deck based on blink to generate artifacts followed by playing alt win conditions like Hellkite Tyrant, Revel in Riches, Mechanized Production etc SotSS makes it so I don't have to protect my artifacts for a whole turn rotation. I was previously setting up my board and then flashing in the win-con on the end step but this makes it much quicker

I like that! Great use of the card.

The cannoneer is in my goose mother deck. Lots of counter doubling. Killed a 120 life oloro in one unblockable shot.

This set is amazing! I can't wait to draft it. Some of the commons feel like rares. Crazy power level. The art is fantastic. At this point, I'm just trying to get one of the 250's

I absolutely love this set. There’s so much awesome stuff. The art is really high end and the power level is apparent.

That was a great box congrats on those hits. I think the narrow high casting cost cards are going to get slaughtered over the coming months. I went heavy on those borderless medallions which were roughly $4 over the weekend as they presented the least amount of risk.

Thanks! I think it’s a really good time to pick up medallions. The regular versions are super cheap and the Borderless are also quite affordable. There are going to be some good deals to be had in the next few weeks.

The errors on the MDFC’s are in play packs only and only if it is foil. It’s also not a widespread issue, so yeah, I’m not sure how much they’ll be financially. Wizards has acknowledged it too, so idk what to make of it

That’s good to know that it’s limited to the foils in the play boxes. Thanks! If that’s the extent, while I don’t really delve into error cards, that’s going to make those pretty expensive.

Modern Horizons 3 is an awesome set that I am really enjoying. While Collector boxes generally have the most high end treatments of cards, if you are looking for ways to build up your collection then the PlayBooster boxes are going to give you 36 packs as opposed to the 12 in Collector boxes. Long term, I do like the idea of holding these but I consider that to be 10+ years.

I feel like they have really over done the retro frame at this point, but I still love the retro lands.

I know people that like to retro out there decks so I guess that’s good for them. But the retro foils are definitely less special now. I think retro foils on things like fetch and shock lands still carry a pretty good premium.

@@WildcatMTG Yeah I can only assume that WotC found something people liked that they could easily reproduce and they went full tilt. Luckily they seem to pulling it back with limited copies per box with the shocks and fetches.
