My first box blew me away. This set feels good to open, there's a ton of value in the uncommon and common slots, great foils, special guests are beautiful. Just a good set all around

I opened a play box and got 11 mythics no retros and no fetches it was a blast. Key pulls in the mythic slots were nethergoph, endurance, kozolek, emrakul, and ugins labyrinth. Key pulls in the rare slot was flare of denial and ugins binding. I hit three flares which was insane probably the most busted box I’ve opened out of any set.

Two Fetchlands? Come on box, do better! Congrats on calling your shots! Funny how that happens sometimes! My first Play Box opening as well, and looking forward to many, many, many, (many?) more!

My play box was alright as far as content. Best mythic was the Phyrexian Tower but otherwise the rest were all mid. I had 3 fetches in my box so not much better. Despite the "mid" pulls it was a really fun set and there are a ton of playable cards and good reprints (especially at uncommon) that will be going directly into a few decks.

Interested to hear your thoughts on the limited format here. From what I've played and seen, this set as a whole has so many components that are at odds with each other: high cost eldrazi spells/free and low cost other spells; arbitrarily "devoid" spells/flare spells requiring color; commander cards/not commander cards, all the mana fixing in the world/more colorless spells, elementals/everything else; energy/??? 😅. I got blown out by cards like Fury in my sealed at the LGS and destroyed on an Arena draft after pulling a bunch of commander/sideboard stax pieces for my rares (winter moon and friends). I'm afraid that any limited experience with this one will be either extremely interesting or extremely disappointing.

maybe the fetches won't quite crash as hard as MH2 - seems like less per play booster on average than the set boosters of MH2 and less per collector than ravnica had for shocks.

Great performance for this box...maybe only getting 2 fetch means getting 5 really good mythics. That's a trade I'll take every time.

I wonder if we're ever gonna get Atog tribal..... I kind of miss those goofy looking guys!

The shocks seem fairly hard to get in this product. It is a pretty big set.
