Awesome. I’m working on a revised neck video with truss rod and fretboard. I’m also planning on a full build video from start to finish. That one is taking some time.

Hi Jayce! Thank you for the great videos. You mentioned that you had a Google Drive download link for the Stratocaster neck dfx files in the description, but I don't see it. Do you still have it?

Hi Jayce, just checking, but this cannot be done in VCarve Pro, right?

Thanks for the comment, you just made me realize that I never posted the completed video I have for the VCarve Strat neck. Not sure why I never posted it, but I'm rendering it right now and I'll get it uploaded. Here's the link to my Google drive with the files needed for the tutorial. drive.google.com/drive/folders/1cwownt6g073_tfj80Jlvoj2P4Xmhnq4H?usp=drive_link

Hi Jayce, The neck looks really nice, it seems as though you figured out the concern with the little bit of remaining material along the outside edges of the neck that you mentioned in previous videos. When do you think you will be doing the video for the truss rod channel and fretboard? Regards,

Yeah so I’m delayed on the video but hope to get back to that series soon. I didn’t expect to have to split my channel and have been busy with work and home projects. I really want to get back to it. The body is cut out and I’m anxious to cut a neck.

Jayce, at 28:32, there is a line down the center of the two 3D components in the neck. I had the same thing happen to me and could not figure out why. I ended up getting a good neck and that difference disappeared in the roughing and finishing paths. Any idea why that happens?

The line is because the edges of the back of the neck are done in two separate sweeps. So you need to make sure the way the components merge together is correct, that they are both even, so there's no line or step. I'm working on a revision to this video that features and actual 3D modeled neck, which seems more accurate and someone gave me some tips that I will incorporate into the video as well.

@@JayceAllanGuitar I tried doing it with one rail sweep for both sides, but it did not transition well to the heel or headstock. And a sweep butted up against another did not work out. Can’t wait for the update. Using your method for all my basses. Would love to get a chat setup with you to discuss some ideas.
