Model Railroad Layout about the Coal and Steel Industry of Germany in HO scale

Ойын-сауық

In Germany, the Ruhr region is well known for its coal and steel industry. This model railroad layout is a detailed replica of that landscape in HO scale. It is a very large model railway layout with more than 100 trains. Famous buildings, large industrial plants and cities are presented in this miniature world.

Gorgeous layout! Despite being American, I have always loved German trains.

It does not get better than this! People. who dislike this are not real artists with positive attitudes nor do they know anything about model railroads of this degree. I have been an American Flyer collector since 1956. The most realistic toy trains ever made. A.C. Gilbert did not set any limits on how perfect he wanted his factory layouts to be. The Perfection of this layout is the same_____Limitless! Any pro layout builder would know how fabulous your display is. The train action and all the other animated modeling is pure genius.

Absolutely wonderful video well planned and shot. I'm so tired of the hand held, jumpy, out of focus, panning so fast that nothing is seen, junk that I see on youtube these days. Photographers, look at this and learn.

Love your videos. You have a great talent the way you provide an immersion into these little worlds. Have you looked into filtering out the ambient people and exhibit hall noises (it’s almost like white noise)? Might help the sounds match the visuals to complete the fantasy for the viewers. Just a thought. Keep up the great work!

+Kobayashi Kenji そうだね。日本の炭鉱と鉄工場の世界のモデルがあれば、面白いと思います。なんか、九州の筑豊と八幡とかの電車。My Japanese is pretty poor as you can see, however I think it would be great to see a model of Tagawa and Yahata condensed into a layout from the same era - I guess about 1959, (昭和34年)

Just like another video showing an old Trix layout, none of the video shots give any perspective to the full size of the layout. The close-up shots are nice but I'd love to see some shot at the beginning or end to pan over the entire layout to see how big it really is. :-)

I really enjoy your videos. But after watching so many, I have but one complaint/criticism. You do not film any over view shots of the layouts. Lots of extreme close-ups, and moderate coverage of layout areas, but rarely any shots of the entire layout, or of larger sections so we can see what the whole thing looks like. Investing in a small drone cam would be a very good idea for overview shots. You could get high/wide camera shots and full layout pans that would improve your presentations immensely.

Really? I must say I'm not surprised. DE has some very silly laws in that respect (just my opinion) Even here in the U.S I'm seeing burring of faces in YT videos, for the same reason. Perhaps you could film a few layouts with overview shots, edit, blur ect etc and upload those as a test, see how your viewership likes them? There's a face blur program called Filmora that works well, can blur in several ways, including moving facial ovals. and has an automated system so you can run through and blur quickly. I know you have many videos to edit, and this feature would save you much time.

where's the weathering of the buildings? They all look stock, even if scratch built. The tracks look great, but that's the best part of this layout are the tracks, even the bridge at the start looks stock.

This layout is great, as the rolling stock is too. But the signal box in 08:27 takes the cake :P Is this a fantasy of one of the builders or such an object existed... in real world? I can't tell. Auhagen or other company has made a signal box model consisted of walls with a Bi29 carbody on it - OK, but this one is just makeshift building at its finest :D
