Large Private Model Railroad RR HO Scale Train Layout

This fantastic model railway layout was built by the members of a miniature railroad club in Germany. The model train layout is built modularly in HO scale and it is completely digitally controlled by DCC. On the model railroad RR layout, there are two stations: A large central station with seven tracks and platforms, and a smaller station with four tracks. But there is also a large staging yard or hidden station with a railway length of more than 150 meters behind the scenes.
On the model railroad layout, 45 train sets are in use. 15 trains are visible on the layout, and 35 trains are parking inside the hidden yard. A special attraction is the tram and its route through the city. There are four tram stations that were filmed by Pilentum during a cab ride. There is also an installtion of the famous Faller car system. The entire model train layout is equipped with an overhead line or catenary. Finally, it is a great model railroad RR layout.

These fantastic video's would not be possible without the miniature digital High Resolution cameras. The detail of the scenery is fantastic and made even more so by viewing it from the front of the moving train.

Beautiful layout, superb detail, wonderful videography and, intentional or not, the overhead lighting provides very realistic outdoor feel.
I love it when the trains slow down gradually before coming to a full stop and increase speed gradually when it is starting to move. This makes it look so realistic. Unlike other train models that stops and starts so abruptly with a violent jerk. Enjoyed every second of this video. Thank you so much for sharing. Cheers and warm greetings from Singapore :)
Very nice! I especially like the way they made the rails look old, rusty and weathered at the beginning; looks convincingly real!

Dear Paul! I am very sorry. This model railway layout does no longer exist. It was built by a German model railroad club near Frankfurt/Main, Germany.

Great layout guys.Do you ever model the steam age days ? Here in the UK thats the main interest although diesel trains and rolling stock is being produced in OO quite a lot now.
I have a question: are these model rail routes made by hobbyists or for professional purposes and are a major tourist attraction places?

The exhibition is only open to tourists at the weekend. During the week the owner himself plays with his model trains.
Thank you all for sharing with layout..Everything is in it's scenery/structure's/walk way's wow....Only 1 thing, I believe you have such "Perfection Overhead" >>No-Power?
Beautiful layout but, like a previous correspondent, when you have taken all the trouble to build a catenary system, why so few of the trains have their pantographs up!

It is easy for the pantographs to snag and so risk damage to the loco and catenary. You have to watch every train. One way around the problem is to modify the panto so that it doesn't fully extend. Or build curves to scale but you'd need a warehouse.

La ligne aerienne est instalee mais les locos electriques roulent pantographes baisses. Ce n'est pas tres realiste et c'est dommage

Very nice scenery. Speed way too high. Electric locomotives with the pantographs down ruine the entire picture. Choose a differente era if you do not wish to deal with overhead wires. Tramway is highly unrealistic.

The costs of running the loco's with the pantograph up would be enormous, so it simply isn't worth it! If you want to see the loco's running with the pantographs up, why not build an own model railway and pay for the costs yourself?
I couldn't take a near hour of this so I moved it up closer to the end and found I hadn't missed much . Sorry, but to me many European (except Britain ) layouts are not high enough. They still look downward to watch as if a Lionel train set in the 50s. And it's too clean and shiny (no weathering anywhere). Allen McClelland in his "V&O Story" is spot on about MRRs which are scenic heavy, take too much focus away from the RR..Less is more. Again, to ME, it's glutinous and boring after a while, especially with no OPs, one big roundy-round. It's too cutesy. Give me big, heavy macho, grimy, smokey, rusty, oily, dusty slow crawling steam double heading a long coal drag with 2 Y6b s on the point at 5MPH, live-centenary traction that sparks, and some RS1s and 3s., a Sharknose, dispatch and, and, and, and......Also, I don't like the nail heads in the middle of the ties. Finally, automated ?! ! Geesh, how spoiled must the hobby get ? Where's the beef ? Oh, and where are the signals ? Sorry, that's my story and I'm schtiking to it !!
herky jerky track work with terrible sound. Watched for about 15 seconds then went straight to a more exciting video that shows paint drying.
