She was never in any real danger; everything went smoothly according to her plan.

Never paid attention to this before, and no one else seems to mention: Lacus doesn't flinch or even take a split second to show remorse after seeing her would-be assassins ruthlessly murdered. It's just hilarious seeing that our girl is more cold-blooded than Kira or any of the Gundam protagonists.

That's because she acted strong on it but eventually she will break down in hide about it. You can see it when SPOILER her father's death too. She looked calm until she finally talked with Kira and was breaking down. Same to what happened after the first war which she and Kira went far away from war. This clearly shows both of them are traumatized at war and didn't really want to participate again (until Durandal tried to kill her). You can also see in Destiny when Lacus wanted to leave Archangel for PLANT, and Kira was against it, she said "I'm alright now" this also clearly shows the war has damaging her so bad contrasted to what happened with Athrun and Cagalli who had been prepared to be warriors. And this side of her again showed in Freedom on Orphee scene. She looked strong when handling him but when he left she break down. I don't think she is as strong as people say, it just the shows really didn't show her scenes much. Lastly, do anyone realized she isn't as cheerful and bubbly as she was in SEED? She isn't smiling as much, too (Kira was ranting about this in Freedom). That's how the war damaging her. Kira and Lacus's choice at the end of Freedom clearly shows their mental state because of war. Lacus might be mentally stronger than Kira, but she's not as cold and strong as people are claiming.

Too many Gundams of SEED Destiny were of unoriginal designs if I may say. Even too many of the regular MS were uncreative. The Ginn at least was distinctive from the original Zaku, the Zaku Trooper was just copy and paste

Something that goes very understated here is that Lacus had DaCosta and the rest of those men in hiding ambush the entire time. Lacus’s confrontation with Athrun was not a choice for him, it was a test. Had he failed her test and decided he is “Athrun Zala soldier of ZAFT” Lacus would have sprung the ambush and had him killed right there and then. She’d have hated herself for it, since her goal is to convince Athrun to be true to what it is he wants and not blindly follow orders, but Lacus is a pragmatist above all else. If Athrun is a threat to her goals, and the life of the person she’s entrusted with her hopes (Kira) she will not hesitate to have the threat removed. This pragmatism will be the crux of her character for the entire franchise (SPOILER WARNING) up until the second half of SEED Freedom where Lacus, through the manipulations of Orphee Lam Tao will find herself on the other end of this test. A test that she fails miserably.

SEED Destiny had the better Gundams, but the SEED storyline is the best.

Too many Gundams of SEED Destiny were of unoriginal designs if I may say. Even too many of the regular MS were uncreative. The Ginn at least was distinctive from the original Zaku, the Zaku Trooper was just copy and paste

Lacus have all those soldiers for her. She might order them to gun Athrun down if theres something happen she cant predict. But she believe to Athrun wont do such thing. As long as Lacus safe, Athrun will come out safe as well.
Sai is a real G. Many people would not handle that situation well with jealousy, meanwhile he still has good in his heart that isn't destroyed. The older I get the more I can forgive Flay for being an immature idiot that hurts everyone, they all have struggles they can't handle. One could only hope to become better and have people like the protags here as friends and family.

She is not ZAFT nor is she working for ZAFT, she is a PLANT citizen. Lacus made that distinction way early in the series after correcting Flay.

Something that goes very understated here is that Lacus had DaCosta and the rest of those men in hiding ambush the entire time. Lacus’s confrontation with Athrun was not a choice for him, it was a test. Had he failed her test and decided he is “Athrun Zala soldier of ZAFT” Lacus would have sprung the ambush and had him killed right there and then. She’d have hated herself for it, since her goal is to convince Athrun to be true to what it is he wants and not blindly follow orders, but Lacus is a pragmatist above all else. If Athrun is a threat to her goals, and the life of the person she’s entrusted with her hopes (Kira) she will not hesitate to have the threat removed. This pragmatism will be the crux of her character for the entire franchise (SPOILER WARNING) up until the second half of SEED Freedom where Lacus, through the manipulations of Orphee Lam Tao will find herself on the other end of this test. A test that she fails miserably.

시드 데스티니에서도 박쥐스란에게 그 짓을 했었지요. 락국수가 더블오의 여주 마리나 이스마일에 비해 평화에 대한 진정성이 의심 받는 지점입니다. 제1차 슈로대 Z에서는 아예 '철혈의 여장부' 하만이 마음 속으로 락국수를 '무서운 여자'로 평가하는 장면이 나오지요. 이래서야 락국수가 신용받기는 어렵지 않을까 합니다.
