Gundam SEED is a show that only audience with a mature mindset can understand. When we were all once young and naive, i assure you your 2nd or 3rd or even 4th rewatch when you become an adult, you will understand why SEED has excellent storytelling.

Decided to rewatch SEED for the first time since I was teenager, just as preparation before watching the Freedom movie. You're right, this series has far better characters, storytelling and themes than I ever gave it credit for.

People immediately hate on SEED for Kira’s Mary Sue tendencies but SEED is seriously well written. It has it flaws but it really dwelled a lot on conflicts, war and to a certain extent racism.

Don't forget that Seed was meant as a modernized remake of the OG series, but with more appeal for younger audiences at the time who had been long detached from the UC storylines. And while not being a UC show it carries that level of storytelling and themes. It can be a tad melodramatic specially early on, but once it gets past some early character development (and a few way too pop-y intros that undermine its seriousness a tad) it has a great story that is more accesible than its popular predecesor Gundam W.

This episode is one of the most brutal scene in entire gundam franchise.

Agree, Yzak is a surprisingly well-made character. A soldier to the core who enjoys battle and dedicates his entire self to fight his enemies. But not a tool who can't tell right from wrong

I AM FROM PANAMA 🇵🇦 They attacked the Azuero's Peninsula, Provinces of Veraguas (Mariato District) Herrera's Province (Chitré, Parita) and Los Santos' Province (Los Santos, Pedasí, Pocrí, Las Tablas, Guararé and Tonosí Districts were bombed) Azuero is located in the Pacific Litoral. And the Gungnir Bombs were stationed in Ocú (Veraguas' Province), Parita and Las Minas (Herrera's Province) and Las Tablas and Macaracas (Los Santos's Province)

This episode is one of example that i label boring during my 1st time watching about 20 years ago because i was looking for action. But when i actually hear the conversation between Uzumi dan AA crew. I now understand why this anime is amazing in storytelling

You know... up until now, I start to realise that Earth alliance in the Gundam Seed series fights well than the Earth Federation (Universal century) because even without mobile suits, they were still able to destroy a good amount of ZAFT's mobile suits

@@lylestratos6880 honestly age isn't that bad, yes once that 3rd gen mc became pacifist like kira the plot kinda became dumb but it's still watchable i kinda enjoy romance theme in age, both 1st and 2nd gen mc married their childhood friend while there's possibility 3rd gen mc could also do same thing

honestly I thought they were gonna paint the strike Gundam pink to make it the strike rouge, but instead they made a second strike but pink

In these troubled times, seed is a pretty poignant show that highlights the danger of us or them mentality. Both blue cosmos and patrick's faction had grounds to stand on even if it was flimsy, they followed it until countless tragedies forced everyone's hands. At the end of the day they were not so different after all. Look around you at platforms for discourse, don't you see similarities in real life?

Actually, no. Yes the Strike Daggers were made using the Strike Gundam’s combat data, but the Natural-use OS Kira made was used solely by the Orb Union. The EA made their own version.

It may be possible. For me, Kira Yamato has already developed Natural OS in Orb before he fight with Athrun, so it is possible there are Natural 0S data from Kira on Archangel. EA may access all data on Archangel.

@@XIguy you obviously missed the point cosmic era is heavily based on Universal century and the author confirmed both Mu and Rau are based on Casvals two disguised character. Actually there are three considered char clones in the series Athrun is supposed to be the char Aznable but he ain't got the blonde hair so for me he doesn't count.

Well, before the start of the OG series the Earth Federation was mostly relying on Tanks, Fighter planes and the anti mobile suit squad (people with nothing but bazookas going against a Zaku) on Earth so they were at a horrible disatvantage outside of the sky since Zakus can't fly.

Atlantic Federation? North America plus UK, IIRC. Eurasia? Continental Europe minus Scandanavia plus the Former Soviet Union.

15:14 to 15:23 is probably the most moving scene in seed

20:18 is still one of the most brutal scenes in the series.

I don't think the victory in Panama will change anything on ZAPT, the part they lost 80% of thier army in Alaska.. feel like the PLANTs are now going. All in or nothing also the part of war crime they commit on that battle.

The mighty Strike Freedom casually became one of the strongest machines in the franchise.😂 It now stands in the same room as the ELS Quan[t], Phenex Gundam, Devil Gundam, and Turn A Gundam.😅 Oh, and the G-Self Photon Package.

emp shielding I guess? Virtually anything that needs to work on space mist have very good shielding to withstand radiation, solar wind etc. The Strike Daggers here were apparently early versions without shielding(its also why there are newbies panicking after the emp, they were the earliest troops.)

a standard 20mm machinegun on Skygrasper isn't able to damage the armor of typical/common mobile suit. however what Mu used to shoot down multiple GINN in previous episodes wasn't the 20mm machinegun. he flew to his left and used the combo weapon pack from Launcher Strike pod which houses 1x 120mm anti-ship vulcan and 2x 350mm gun launchers. im pretty sure the 120mm anti-ship vulcan can easily tear down armor of regular mobile suit.

By the way Gundam Wing even has German dub but there's no way to watch it "normally", supposedly it has DVD although too rare and expensive. In the end the only option is to look somewhere in the Internet.
