I think the best part is that he's mentioned that she only fed them the dog food--and now they're getting hot dogs, grapes, cherrios, and all kinds of goodies. He truely spoils them in the best possible way.

I feed possums every night. I worry about them being hungry or cold. I love them. They line up in my trees waiting for me to get home. I pray that my husband will continue to feed them every night like I do. It's silly but God told me to take care of these precious little creatures. Mr. Blackwood is an amazing man. God bless him.

I have about 10-12 I feed every night. I have 3 that will take food from hand. They are so sweet. I would love to be able to touch them. They sometimes will put their precious little hands in my hands. How do you get them to the point of being able to touch them. They are not afraid of me. I love them so much and enjoy watching you love them and touch them.

I laugh everytime because they are so well fed that their husky little bums shake all over the place! Lucky guys!

They seem to know he has food for all of them so they don’t even fight with each other

I think there's alot of people like this in the world, they just don't video it an show it to everyone, instead we get bad news and horrific stories on the news because it sells. Good things are out there you just don't hear about most of it

If anyone comes to his house to do harm to him, the raccoons won't run away, they will run to his rescue...They can scent danger to someone they love and fight tooth and nail to protect him...At least mine did...She came out of her bed just a running and saved my life...The best friends you will ever have if they are treated with love...

My favorite part is hearing the babies eat the crunchies (dog food). It is so funny! Jim is the man of my dreams! I am in LOOOOOVE!

Jim you cannot hide how much you love these precious animals. The joy on your face and excitement in your voice says it all. I don't believe anything makes you as happy as the raccoons (except maybe some head butts and cuddles from Conner and Charlotte). We love you dear man!!

Mimi I agree. I watched another of Jim’s videos I believe from today and there was only one lonely beat up raccoon there and I find myself in tears writing this. Thank you for your comment. I would only add this uncertain world.

i love the way he speaks to the raccoons. you can tell he really values them as family.

I find it amazing and wonderful how they are so gentle and accepting of him and his touches. I just love this; it really warms my heart.

We have been have such a hard time. I have had my mind drown in politics. My husband has been out of work for six months this year. 12$ in our account with six mouths to feed. My husband has been strong so I am strong for the kids but I am falling apart. This was so nice to see I just found it.

I just LOVE watching these videos! I just watched one from 4 years ago where James was feeding three baby racoons (mother had been run over) and it was so funny! they just ran up and down his chest and onto his face!!!!

The fact you can tell the difference between them warms my heart 🥹

The racoons keep coming back just like we do! You're gonna have to buy another barn and charge em room and board.

It's great to see how happy the return of the raccoons made Mr. Blackwood.
