Haven't commented before. Just call in every so often. Cannot even comprehend what objections people might have. I run a small rescue myself. Just to know there is back up, if you are sick - someone you can rely on... Quite apart from actually falling in love! Congratulstions from Oz.

@@tschouten1 If you are feeling ypu are too old or health is too bad to safely adopt a dog for even a decade... OR if you don't feel you can afford the food and vet bills, you can foster for rescues. Short or long term. Some rescues want permanent fosters for older or infirm dogs, umtil thrir death. They often supply food, medications and pay vet bills. They just want unadoptable dogs to have their own loving families. Just investigate the rescues in your state. Most rescues want you to be close enough to use their vet. Hope this idea might help. Or maybe foster short term, for emetgencies? Even a weekend can help a rescue to reorganise dogs and find a more permanent foster.

@@tschouten1 he was! The best baby boy. I lost him very suddenly & tragically in April of last year - he was only 4. I went 3 months without a pup & I was SOOOOO depressed! I finally adopted an adorable 3 month old small puppy. I cannot let go of Odie as my profile photo, but I DO adore my baby girl. She is 18 months old now. Please get yourself another dog, for both your sakes!

I saw the caption that said engagement!! I called my husband and told him I'm saving something for you to watch with me when you get home. We started watching and we both started beaming. We love watching, takes our minds off the ugliness we live in right now. 🎉 CONGRATS to both of you!

My only advice for Jim is simply to allow Angied to redecorate Jim's place especially since she is giving up everything and that she just built a brand new home in the States. Also, I think it is best for Angie to keep her new home for the time being. Jim is gaining a whole new family with Angie's children...I have faith that with effort and love their relationship will be just fine! 🌺

I got married for the first time when I was almost 60. Ric was 64, and a widower. No frills, City Hall NY June 24, 2008...Ric is retired merchant marine. So our wedding picture caption reads, "OLD SALT WEDS RIPE TOMATO.." Still gets laughs all these years later. We are each other's best buds and the envy of our friends. When it is good? Take every ounce of happiness you can squeeze out of this life and run with it....My Mom died 9 years ago age 75 and My Dear Father found the lovliest of ladies to share his life with two years after that...and it joined both our families.....Sadly, she died a year ago and then Dear Father just passed in August...we are all heartbroken they only had 6 years together but boy, they were great ones...And all us adult childrens lives got enriched because they found each other.We may have lost bthem, but it brought two families together cannot imagine ANYONE not wishing you the best!!! For every bad wish, there will a tousand best wishes and blessing to you both! Its a beautiful ring...for a beautiful couple.Congratulations again.

My hubby and I retired about a year or two ago. Retired from Capitol Police in Washington DC and moved to a little warmer place. We live in Arizona and love to watch. Jim, I had this beautiful thought when you had said, "we were not expecting this..." The love of my life, my instant soul connection and I was not really dating at the time. She said she would never leave me. She died suddenly at 32yo, a couple weeks before turning 33yo. We were the same age and I'm now about to turn 40yo in Dec. She has never left me. I know her spirit watches over me as I suffer from multiple chronic illnesses. At the moment I'm a disabled pediatric nurse and I am for sure an intuitive empath. I feel your passed wife has always been with you, such a stand up gentleman you are having also cared for her elderly mother. Your best friend passes and suddenly your life is forever changed. I feel Angie was brought to you by your passed love ones. I feel I'll be forever single. Only she loved me through my medical challenges, even more present then some family. So congratulations again to you both!!! 🥰🥰🥰 Also, Angie, you have such beautiful eyes.

I honestly have to say I tremendously enjoyed this vlog, as I enjoy all of them. . I am catching up on prior vlogs made before I subscribed here this year 2023. I did wonder how you guys got together. I loved this catch up for me like history in the making. I did see some older vlogs recently, but it's the first time I'm getting insight into your marriage. A belated congrats. You guys look good together. And Jim, Angie has done an amazing job caring for you pre and post your surgery and hosoital stay. Esp with communicating with the Drs. and preparing you nutritious meals so that your wound will heal. Plus taking care of the household and the raccoons out there who do a good job of jumping all over her and mobbing her. . She manages everything so graciously. Must be exhausted. But happy. Hope you didn't get much of the hurricane. Today is Sunday Sept 17th, 2023. . You did give us updates yesterday, Sat, but I haven't seen anything further yet. No raccoon dinner Sat night that I could see, understandably. Wind was perhaps rather strong and lots of rain. Plz take care of yourselves. Hugs ❤❤❤

It makes me happy to know that Jim won't be alone. I have been dreading the day he might be at the bottom of the one of the staircases in that darn split level.
