So grossed out by the UFC and their shit, per usual. Ariel Helwani, like him or not, is the absolute best and one of the only true, real reporters in this sport. I will not only not pay for ANYTHING UFC related until this is fixed, but I'll also be teaching every MMA fan I know how to torrent their PPV's and fight nights from now on, as well as reddit/r/MMA.

Really appreciate the platform you gave Ariel here. He deserves to be treated a lot better by the UFC. Like he said, they want the MMA journalists to be additional promoters of their company, which is crazy. I can't understand how something like that is possible. I love the sport, I love the UFC and I think Dana White is a great head of the organisation. But there are things like handling the media which is done terribly by the UFC. It has to change and you supporting Ariel is definetly helping in some way.

Rich Eisen just gained a new subscriber. Us MMA fans appreciate you giving our own Ariel Helwani a platform to tell his story. We don't forget these things. Our sport really needs some reformation.

What is ironic is the fact that among many other things Ariel Helwani was practically a fantastic promoter for MMA in general and in particular for the UFC through his considerable body of quality work from his modest beginnings back in the day with his own KZread channel all the way to now. Frankly, the UFC made an emotional decision, which is ALWAYS a bad thing. Now they had to eat their words. Dana: 'Helwani will not be credentialed as long as I am here'. Less than 24 hours later the ban has been lifted. Honestly, I do think, though, that Dana really was just the bad cop acting on behalf of Lorenzo Fertitta.

THing I like the most about the pre fight and post fight media questions are Ariel Helwani!!, The guy askes awesome tuff questions, not scripted boring ones

The UFC is taking things personally and acting like a spoiled 5 year old brat. I love watching the UFC but seriously... they need to learn to chill

As a european MMA fan I have no idea who Rich Eisen is or how famous he is, but what he did there for Ariel was great, publicly critizising the UFC like he did.

Yeah but looking at it now, at 2020 Ariel became very much cooler

I'm not a fan and not defending him in particular, but I def thought the Ariel Helwani lifetime UFC ban was too much. He was simply doing what journalists want to do, report big news and the first to report..Must be nice to be making a good living doing something that is more like a lifestyle and not job-like, and being something he loves to do. God for him tho.

Dana and the UFC are turning off so many people with the way they treat some fighters, and now a great journalist. I know some people who are quietly boycotting them by not purchasing any pay-per-views of UFC events. I got interested in the UFC thanks to the exploits of Holly Holm, a great fighter but also a wonderfully sweet human being. The way she was treated by UFC even after she became world champion, as well as the way her gym is treated and criticized by Dana, was a huge turnoff. First people need to be sold on you before they get sold on your product. The UFC is doing a terrible job on the first job, though they have a very good product. It's a shame. Their missteps are not hurting them terribly (though they could be even bigger without them) as they are the leader in the sport. What it is doing is leaving the door open for their competitors.

I wish they'd change fight pass to include all fights. I'd pay 29.99 a month for that. What they have now is garbage. It takes me 20 minutes to watch a 5 minutes fight. My HBO, Netflix, Hulu doesn't do that shit

This guy is full of shit. He was told about those fights along with the entire reporter pool and told to hold the story until they officially announced them later that evening. I'm not a fan of how Dana White or the UFC conduct their business, but this douche bag is not some kind of victim in this case. He agreed to something, and then proceeded to violate that agreement as quickly as humanly possible.

There's no way I'd buy the rigged fight bs. The amount of income a fighter would lose from a fight especially a highly promoted fight is insane. It wouldn't be worth a million dollars to throw a preliminary fight. To pay someone like Aldo, Diaz, Mcgregor to take a Dive would bankrupt the ufc. No way in hell would they agree to it is what I'm saying. Imagine them telling Diaz he has to lose to Mcgregor lol. Diaz would leave with Stockton slap the living shit outta them and completely blow that shit up
