I think this is my favorite Seinfeld interview of all. Leave it to the genius of Rich to let Jerry roll when he's on a roll, and to ask the right questions in order to get new stories that haven't been heard before.

Agreed. This interview clicked in extraordinary ways. I love when Jerry gets deep into the science of what makes a joke work: using the "k" sound, ending a punchline sooner than expected, mixing popcorn with a lack of empathy, etc. Great stuff I've never seen him dig into in other interviews.
I think Rich needs the Merv Griffin set!😂

I've seen several of those and really not that funny, it all seems a little contrived to me. Plus Seinfeld is kind of an obnoxious douchebag, so there's that 🙄
I almost didn’t watch this episode because I thought I’d heard everything Jerry had to say during these promo interviews. I loved this interview ! Really enjoyed the chemistry and back and forth here …. along with fun stories. I’ve always been a Seinfeld and Larry David fan.

Exactly that's what I loved about comedians getting coffee was he would break down what made other comedians jokes funny
I have so many comments on this, growing up in the Seinfeld generation, I cant even put them into a single comment. I will just say great guest, great show, loved how he took shots at Rich and how does he not know how something is funny. That should be a show.
The best of unfrosted are Jerrys interviews
This was great. I worked for another Jewish billionaire that was just like Jerry. We were negotiating a huge deal one time and in the middle of the negotiations he said something that he knew that I would lose it... giggling like a school girl. I miss those days....
I’m just 15 minutes in and giving Rich an A++++. Obviously Jerry came in loaded and Rich is just letting him riff. More hosts should be like this. Hey Maher, you paying attention here?!
LOVE comedians in cars! Do more, Jerry!!!
Jerry should have stood up the whole time 😂😂😂😂
Jerry is funnier than ever. Love him since many decades.
Jerry and Larry should do a series of shows where they interview sports icons and ask them questions about the minutia of life in sports. 4 episodes, NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, with Rich as the host. First ep is NFL with Chad Ochocinco.
I LOVE Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee". The discussions about the creative process, eriting, hard work, persistence... it was wonderful and I re-watch it all the time
Shame there wont be another Jerry Seinfeld. He was really able to take Larry davids dark sense of humor and make it beloved by 1/2 the country. That's a gift

An underrated aspect of Larry David is how comedy smart he is. Even though he hated the Einstein joke referenced here, he still knew it had to stay in the final version of that episode. It was too good. Strange that he didn't like it, mind you, that's one of the funniest tv clips of all time.
@Historian212

Underrated? No way.
I don’t know how Jerry kept any composure at all while Philip Baker Hall as Lt. Bookman the library cop was berating him, that must be one of the top scenes on the series. It just kept getting funnier as the scene went on and when Bookman called Jerry a Joy Boy in the line “Maybe that’s how you get your kicks, you and your good time buddies, well I got a flash for you Joy Boy, party time is over.”, that was over the top.

Jerry is spot on about Rich just making people feel good (us and the guests). He's kind and genuine. I always enjoy listening
My favorite episode of Comedians in Card Getting coffee was the old chunk of coal himself: Norm Macdonald. Very few people cracked Seinfeld as much as Normie, Normie, Normie

It's basic psychology
"i wasnt sure people were connecting with it", what? it was outstanding. A perfect representation of the talk show people want and need. Comforting, soothing, funny, light hearted, and a clear depiction of the even exchange between peers.
Andy Kaufman had a sketch where he interviews his Ex from a high table to assert power and shows exactly why it's important to have an eye to eye setup.
I absolutely love this interview with Jerry Seinfeld... 🙌
Jerry's age has finally caught up to his personality. The guy is in his prime. I was never a fan of Jerry's standup, but when he's just sitting and talking with someone I find him much funnier. He doesn't really need material, just a pitcher to hang fast balls over the strike zone all night and let him swing away.

Jerry is the Best. Great Interview.
Seinfeld is the greatest show ever. Till this day I can watch any episode anytime to this day and I still laugh. My kids think I’m crazy. Lol. But like you said every day I use a line to this day everyday.
So true! An awkward set arrangement. 🤣
Jerrys memory is incredible
It’s not just TV.. Jason is a well respected journeyman theatre actor.. that’s the training that allows him to get that speech
I hope this movie is a hit. There's just such a good vibe about this and unhinged fun of the pop tart wars. Seinfeld just had this touch about him. He's a valuable person in comedy and creativity.
Best Seinfeld episode ever: The Airport Pickup.

The way he handled the telemarketer was hilarious. First episode I ever saw, I tuned in right at the "double dip" scene. 2024....& that shows still relevant.....& the funniest ever.
It's GOLD, Jerry, GOLD!!! And the hand movements with "you can TAKE a reservation. . ." too funny!
I was really waiting this whole video for Rich to explain to Jerry that most of his guests are athletes so Rich seating himself a foot higher let's him look like he sees eye to eye with them.
So many great comedians in one movie. And Amy Schumer.
The lines I still use weekly to this day is “Not that there’s anything wrong with that!” And “I was seeing moves two and three in front”
I've watched 'Unfrosted' twice already. Congratulations Seinfeld on your directorial debut. The script, cast and direction were top-notch. It's doubtful that Gen Z'ers will understand or even want to understand all the cultural references, but 'Unfrosted' was G-r-r-r-r-e-e-e-a-a-a-t-t-t-t-t!
"And this offends you as a Jewish person?" "It offends me as a comedian!" -- Easily a Top 5 line in the series.

Without question! His delivery never fails to make me laugh. I remember when I first seen that episode his response totally caught me off guard.
Jerry Seinfeld at the Chicago Theater was the hardest I’ve ever laughed, which surprised me because as much as his TV show was my favorite, I never thought his standup would be so good live. Absolutely killed. Saw Maniscalco a few days earlier - who was amazing and is clearly amazingly hilarious (plus I’m Italian - yet Jerry actually killed even harder.
There is an interview with Jason Alexander and he tells that story about the golf ball episode that he had to memorize the whole monologue just minutes before filming...
What a great great conversation!!! So glad we have formats outside of the radio / TV universe that allow you to do long form stuff like this!
My two favorite lines. "It's like the sun. You take a peak and look away". And "I don't think we should see each other anymore. OKAY"!!! "I'm even Steven".
I discoverd in the 1990's with a Satalite reciever I found Seinfeld when it got uploaded to the network I watched the first show and rest of them without comercials. Those were the days when you could watch TV with watching anything without comercials without skipping them.
This was a great interview. Well done,Rich
this and the neal brennan interview are some of the most absolute solid gold Seinfeld moments on record. absolutely excellent and Rich Eisen continues to make himself distinct as not only a great sports guy but just an excellent interviewer in general who takes a genuine interest in his guests.
I loved every bit of that conversation! "But you're a cashier!"
44:59 “Would you ever apologize to your wife …while eating popcorn?” THIS GUY 🤣
This was great ! Love jerry was my childhood tv . Also much appreciate Rich. Very calming sports voice i agree
Rich Eisen is a great host. He gets the best out of the guests without making every statement about him. He is really good.
That was great! Joshua has a path and trods it well. Seinfeld in Singapore, what a concept.
The cigar bit reminds me of one of my favorite Seinfeld lines when he is smoking a cigar, laughing as Elaine hands him a bunch of money. 😂
This was great thank you for sharing.
Great show! Makes me want to binge Seinfeld again.
That was gold Jerry! Gold !
