Thank you Jon for once again an amazing video and trusting our approach to amazing drum sounds! If you guys haven't tried ML Drums yet we decided to put all expansions 25% off for this release so now is a good time to give it a shot. 😋

I love metal. But I’d love to hear these in like a funk or blues or pop rock setting too. ML really found their niche I think with drums.

How does this compare to EZdrummer in the way of building a song? Like in ezd you can search through midi patterns and build a track. You can search for beats based on what you click in with a mouse. All that kind of stuff. I’m not really good with programming beats. I’m just really digging what ML has going on here and wouldn’t mind jumping on the bandwagon.

I never use midi grooves myself. Programming drums doesn't have to be hard at all. It's so much fun to create your own drums so I would recommend just practicing it a bit tbh. You'll get into the groove pretty quickly I think ;)

I do most of my composing in Guitar Pro 8. If you move your GP8 drum track to its own new file, you can export the midi and move it into EZ drummer for final tweaks. You just have to adjust hi hat and ride hits for the most part. It's fantastic

@@SonicDriveStudio I'm curious how ML plays with GP8 drum midi exports because I tried the Krimh free drums and it had to be totally remapped. Do you do any writing with Guitar Pro and then move things over into your DAW?

Best 3rd party midi drum grooves imho are groove monkee. They have a mega pack of all their packs covering all styles. I'm pretty sure they support ml drums format now also. I use their grooves all the time when songwriting.
