I always, ALWAYS loved your Slate Drums mixes. They sounded huge and alive. This one doesn't tickle me the same way but you always have great mixes. Good to have options 💕

I only use Superior Drummer 3, because it has all the features and most importantly it can do a full mic export and separate the bleed from the mics so you get all the mic from each instrument like you actually recorded it and you can mix it how you please

I also swichted from slate drums to ml drums a few months ago. It's hands down the best sounding drum plug-in. I wish they would add more articulations though. For example dedicated rimshot for the snare. But other than that, it's a beast. It also works very well with less aggressive rock tracks and lower velocities.

So I was right... ML Drums!! 🤘Yeah, I've been using it more than SSD lately too. It's really easy to make it sound really good. SSD still has some extra articulations (like rimshots, rimclicks, etc) which I like. Do you miss them in ML Drums? But, I love how Mikko and the guys are always updating the platform and constantly bringing new expansions and features!

Softube Heatbeat + FXpansion Tremor those are my favorites. but i might add ML ( because cymbals and hats are difficult to synth )........but i would recommend Softube Heartbeat, to anyone who wants to get away for sample libraries.

As a drummer, my beef with non drummers having access to these sample packs is that they don’t understand drumming dynamics and just won’t utilize the dynamics built in to these multi-sampled packs. Every drum hit is at 127, that sound hits a compressor too hard, then that signal hits bus compression too hard then that signal hits mastering compression too hard. The result is loud and consistent, but so is EDM and that isn’t terribly musical. Anyway, my point is that these sample packs are incredibly capable and most bedroom metal producers are under utilizing their potential.
