mk4 Ford Mondeo power steering problems
oil change time again and trying to work out my power steering problems.
PS its worse now after a couple of short trips there will be a part 2 very soon when a pump gets here

Well...that's no good. But at least you tried!
Just bought a new reservoir for £15 here in UK, $150 is madness
On the new style resorvoirs you need to pull out the orange tab inside the resourvoir after a few minutes of running the engine.

I know this video was over a year ago now . But it was a bitch to get to work properly again it took some head scratching I hope I never have to fight with something like that again
Too bad you need a pump, but at least you will have a whole "new" steering system then.

New 2nd hand but yes hopefully it will be good for a few years fingers crossed
Yep, that pump is pretty noisy....

It was worse after to but new one should be here today or tomorrow . Not why it was so bad after might still have some air in the system
hi!!! what was the conclusion?? I had the same issue. I changed the pump but the noise was still there….

Good point . In the end we put a pressure gauge on it to check it and it coming right after that but we tried everything we could think of before that changed the rake again changed the lines but nothing helped to we put the pressure gauge on the pump 1500 psi it showed . We still don't really understand why but after that it was fine
