It's common sense, mixed type locomotives are neither best at pulling coaches at higher speeds nor pulling a lot of goods wagons.......Mixed type locos have average performance in both areas, but dedicated locomotives like passenger and goods locomotives perform their tasks very well with high efficiency and better results also money was a constraint which isn't now.......WAP 5 wasn't imported from Singapore they were imported from Switzerland.......

Wam4, wdm3d, wdm2, Wdm3a , Wcam3 are the best Locos of mixed type.. They are highly efficient in hauling freight and passenger with good speed..

@@nishantmohapatra8113 they are not highly efficient, they are mid spec, they haul both services at 100-110 kmph which is not good for a network so dense with so many trains and overall efficiency, whereas dedicated locomotives can haul more goods or can pull coaches at a constant 130 kmph for a longer time which the mixed type locos can't do.......

@@theraildynasty_ I said that they are decent enough to haul wagons at good speed. RDSO didn't paid any attention to these types of locos to amend their gear ratios even.. Mixed type locos could do better if amendment were there to happen at least.

@@nishantmohapatra8113 yes they could have done better but not as good as a dedicated locomotive, and if you change the gear ratio then the locomotive will either become very good at hauling goods or will become very good at hauling coaches at high speed, inadvertently making it a dedicated locomotive

One more point, as mixed are now old, They spark alot like recently I travelled in durg vishakhapatnam and it was lead by a mixed loco and it was sparking every 2-3sec. I saw that as It was night time and spark light was Falling on ground my coach was just next toloco.

ER zone me WDM3a was the king, my childhood is filled with HWH, BWN and UDL shed WDM2 and 3a action, I still remember just 6 or 7 yrs back single Wdm3a hauling 24 coach express trains and providing regular Wap7 like accelerations Later HWH shed got WDM3d and it was the best diesel loco to ever exist in eastern railways, now even after being removed from mainline duties, Hwh Wdm3ds still haul the maitree and Bandhan express from Kolkata upto Bangladesh border, long may they reign

One more reason would be, Mixed type of locomotives can both do Passenger Class and Goods Class traction but were not so perfect in both of them.

It's not about "Paisa" It's about the requirements. Don't make videos if you don't know anything.

Lekin ek chiz yahan pe hum kehna chahte hain. WAG 9 me ek issue hain ki woh 100+ speed pe vibrate karta hai isliye isko 6125 HP hone ke bawajud v ye loco 110 se 120 ka speed pe nahi chal sakte. Aur avi filhal passenger class ke WAP 5 hi ek loco hai jo amrit bharat express ke liye ban raha hai lekin wap7 ka production me ek rukawat aa gya hain, isliye South ke taraf electric loco me bas wag 9 hi available hai 3 phase models me se. Iske upar aap kya kehna chahoge?

Toh hum ekbar kuch govt ka document me dekhe the ki WAG9 ko kyu 100 speed pe limit kiya gya hai...wahi se 100+ speed pe jo stability problems notice hue the, woh mentioned mila.... Aur apne ka fav loco WAP7 ka shayad banane me slowdown aya hain. Mai ek content creator ko dekhta hun, jinka naam KZread pe Natarajan C hain. Unhone apne Bangalore (Bengaluru) side ka kuch traino ka electric traction me upgrade hone ke baad v WAG 9 diya gya hai aise kuch videos shoot kiya tha, channel pe v hai.... aur WAG9 is the most produced electric loco by CLW, more than WAP7.... .aur kuch din pehle ka news hai ki aur v amrit bharat express trains ayega.....thats how I came to know WAP 5 ka modified version ban raha CLW me for Amrit Bharat exp but WAP7 ka kuch updates nahi aa raha....sayad aapko is channel ko dekhna hoga aur wag 9 ka speed certification test ka report dekhna hoga. Aur wap7 banna band nahi hue hain....bas thora production kam hai uska....

Maleswaram wala side me WAG 9 allot hue hai kuch LHB coach wale train me, aur WDP 4D , apne 4500 HP ke sath ye sab train 110 touch karta tha as per Natarajan C but electrification ke baad loco capability ke liye 110 pe khich nahi pata. Isliye thora lag raha hai ki WAP 7 avi factory fresh kam dikhte hai. Waise kya apko ye pata hai ki WAG12 Kitne units banaya hai ?

Mne isi route pe travel kiya and both ways meri trains 6+ hrs late hui due to diverted route bw NDLS and Ludhiana. Trains were sampark kranti and Sri shakti.
