Huh? Karate has been used in Kickboxing for decades now. Stephen's main claim is he is undefeated in kickboxing and I think one loss in MMA.

Basically all I meant was Stephen's main sport was kickboxing, and Karate was a foundation in how American Kickboxing started. You wouldn't go into kickboxing without knowing modern kickboxing, karate, Sanda, taekwondo or Muy Thai. Transitioning into MMA isn't hard if you have a good base in any of those after learning a ground game.

Mayweather style pad work is for speed, reaction drill, muscle endurance from non stop movement, reflex development and is a supplement to regular pad work. It makes the coach work yea but the fighter is working insanely hard. When I was fighting it helped my muscle endurance so much and my speed. It’s definitely very helpful and has many purposes it’s not just for flashy movement if done right.
