    After several miter box "how to" videos, finally I found yours which is a true "how to" demonstration. Yours shows the box construction up close and also shows how to use it up close, so I can see exactly how you use each slot. Now I know how to use a miter box. Thank you!

    I actually used a Japanese quick cut saw to do a lot of my mitre cuts....BUT....It didn't occur to me to put a piece of wood under my molding first...because I eventually cut my mitre box in Half!!! Simple common sense teaching, excellent thank you!

    Fabulous - thank you very much. You were so clear, concise and made learning enjoyable. I'm obsessed with DIY and have just purchased an SDS Plus Rotary Hammer Drill as every wall I need to infiltrate is old tough concrete which my ordinary hammer drill could not cope with. I am small and the drill is exrremely heavy, so I really have to hold on to the drill tightly to ensure my whole body doesn't spin around and around - rather than the drill turning in the wall 😂🤦🏽‍♀- though I'm sure that would go viral 😂🤦🏽‍♀. Thanks again. Psyche aka Psyche Thompson UK 🌹

  • @Caliber8Tools

    @Caliber8Tools

    2 жыл бұрын

    Well, if you don’t want to use a table saw or power tool, you may have to scribe the angles with a pencil or marker onto your work piece and use a hand saw. If it’s an arts and crafts project I assume the material isn’t that hard or thick. Is it wood? Btw, a mitre saw will do the trick better than a table saw. It’s much quicker than a handsaw. Check out the video on how to use a mitre saw. kzread.info/dash/bejne/eYCftsuyhbDamdI.html

    You want to place the wood against the fence farthest from you, not like you see here. You don't want the pushing force of the saw against those little plastic pins, you want the fence to carry that load. Plus it'll help reduce "tear out" if the work piece is supported by the fence.

    Question - how thick is that trim? You cut it fast but it still seems like it would take a decent amount of time and muscles. I looking for something like this to cut small 2" x 3/4" or even 1/2", because my miter saw ends up ripping some of the wood edge even if I tape it first. But I don't want to be sawing all day long to make a couple frames.
