Yeah. I do like clean, well kept teeth but the American way of sculpting the perfect white smile is so horrible. All their TV personalities have the same smile, like it came off a shelf in some high street store. All straight, white, all the same size. No personality or character. It's starting to get boring.

He's easily the best host of a show like this that I've ever seen. He always knows when and what to say to keep everyone comfortable and part of the conversation. He even gave her a team to be part of on the coffee drinking so she wouldn't feel ganged up on. I doubt that she would feel genuinely so but a fairly unassuming American actor might feel a bit intimidated in front of a British audience with a well-known and -loved British comedy duo.

He's hilarious, but personally I think Robert Webb is criminally under-appreciated. Almost every comment here seems to be about how wonderful "David" is, as if Webb is just his dim-witted side-kick. My sister was saying much the same at Christmas, and I always feel compelled to stand up for Webb. I think there must be a reason they've been friends for so long and successful as a double-act. I agree that Mitchell is often a hilarious comic (although occasionally tedious and predictable in his rants on WILTY compared to Lee Mack's true genius for improv), but I've always thought that Webb is the better and more convincing actor, in particular on Peep Show.

Graham makes a wonderful host. Often US shows seek out comedians, which only fulfills part of the host's role. They often make themselves the center of attention. Graham accepts the attention, but knows how to make his guests (the subject of the show) shine.

I always find these shows incredibly awkward. You get big A list actors on to talk about some up coming blockbuster that's going to make millions worldwide and then you've got some British comedian talking about their new book or something and it's just blatantly obvious that the A list American has no idea who the other guy is. And I'm not looking down on either of them but they just can't compare. They're in different leagues.

Paquin is likely used to social interactions in which she's afforded cachet for showing up. She gets stuck in an environment in which off-the-cuff wit is prioritized. Suddenly she's the unpopular kid who's just kind of awkwardly, superfluously there and doesn't know anyone.
