Happen to me too Hahaha
As a Mississippian, I approve! Also, Ben was right; it's called Mississippi mud pie because it resembles the banks of the Mississippi River.
Gonna try this recipe later, thank you guys, looks beautiful! :D
Made this morning. Very good indeed. I added a layer of peanut butter, baked on top of the base, and served with salted caramel ice cream. A Snickerssippi mud pie.
Imma need some bloopers for that intro lol
the final "sorted" spelling was a beautifull moment between you guys...
I know it's more summer now but seeing you guys make a New England clam chowder would be be so awesome!
Happy Birthday to Sorted food! 6th birthday! How time flies. I still remember Barry cooking a piece of fish in a dishwasher. And there being like 6 videos out on the same day! Keep up the great work boys
that looks scrumptious! wow!
Much respect and thank you for sharing this chocolaty goodness recipe!
This cake looks so amazingly delicious! 😍
This is so different to the Mississippi Mud Pie recipe I have! Mine has a biscuit case and inside is a kind of ganache? I think? It's melted marshmallow and chocolate mixed with whipped cream, that is poured in and left to set. Then you make another thin layer from more cream and marshmallow but this time flavored with coffee. Pour on top and leave to set. Delicious! My mum used to make this, I was so proud when she entrusted the recipe to me as her disability means she can't do it anymore. But this one looks pretty amazing, I might have to give it a go. Also Ben is so right, Oreo's are so much better as a crumb than as biscuits!
I have been waiting for this recipe for YEARS.
I LOVE MISSISSIPPI MUD PIE!! I eat it all the time during thanksgiving
My mom use to have a recipe for a Cold Fudge Cake that was really good. If I could ever find it would love to see you guys try it.
Looks unbelievable! I would normally replace the whipped cream topping with an Italian meringue layer almost like a lemon meringue pie type, but I may try this caramel one looks great!!
James is a man after my own heart, using implausible kitchen utensils to eat things with.
I dont have mates to go "ooh! ahh! and yum!!!" So, Ill just make this for myself, and I can go "ooh! ahh! and yummm!!!!!" myself.
Ben's Super Geek-ness is INFECTIOUS!!!
I am literally heading to the kitchen right now to make this. Swell job, Sorted.
This looks so freaking AMAZING!
Made it yesterday! Super! 😋
I remember my grandmother made this recipe in the 1970s from a church cookbook. The difference was in the "cake" layer. Her recipe called for chocolate cheesecake instead of the chocolate flourless cake. Otherwise, it seems to be almost the same (no caramel in the whipped cream). As we lived in the Midwest, it was just called Mud or Dirt Pie. I've also seen them done with a brownie layer, then chocolate pudding, then whipped cream with crushed Oreos sprinkled on top. Both were out of this world good and fairly easy to make. :D
So early! I know I am going to drool when I watch this! The thumbnail looks fantastic!
Great Job ! Definitely making this. Also, the S-O-R-T-E-D part was just hilarious !
Looks sooo good!
Oh my gosh the spelling Love it!!! As a teacher I approve of your spelling during the video Jamie! Thank you for the laughs and fun. Great job guys! 😊

I was waiting the whooooole day for that video and you guys DID NOT disappoint as always love your videos
I've had this done with coffee ice cream, but yours looks amazing, lads! I must give this a try. Well done, lads!
I'm so going to make this tomorrow!
Man, I wish I was working there! Then I could come and eat what they're cooking!! 😂😂😂
yum!!!!! definitely hungry now!
Looks delicious!
delicious! 🙋🏽🙌
That moment when Jamie and Ben started spelling out SORTED at the same time! Freaking EPIC!!!!
I loved the recipe, loved the spelling, loved the crew, loved Hannah doing what I'd do (instantly gravitating towards the biggest piece) and loved James eating a pie with a potato press like that thing hadn't been use to press fucking potatoes (omg, can we say 'badass'?). But what I love the most is that you guys, all of you, don't even give me a chance to lose weight. Not even a tiny one.
amazing😍👌
I was always told Mississippi mud pie, looked like the Mississippi mud, when it was just watered that's where it would get its nickname. Also people that farmed around Mississippi knew the color of the dirt in Mississippi was different, and helped crops grow because of the richness of the soil. LOL that's what I was taught. ;) :) love all y'alls creations. :) thanks !!
I always make my ultimate brownie recipe for the second layer, wich is.. incredible.
james is the best. eating his mud pie like a boss with that utensil
Looks SOOOO good! This is happening!
Ugh, this looks amazing
I made it like...6 years ago lol. It was so amazing and rich!
I'm definitely doing this one

I would like to see you guys make the ultimate mousse cake. (Extra points if you use oreo and/or white chocolate chips)
you guys make me hungry!
Awesome! Ben casually just cracks the eggs with one hand :D
Yum!!👌🏼❤️

Back in 3rd grade I had a state project on Mississippi and for extra credit i made a Mississippi Mud Pie!
omfg that looks so good. and no gelatin in the pudding, that's a new recipe in itself for me!
Could you consider doing a Boston Cream Pie? Thank you!
You guys should try to make Torta Milhojas. Its "thousands" of layers of phyllo dough with dulce de leche in the middle. Real simple, but delicioooous
aaahhhh that looks perfect to make for my friend get together party 😍thank you guys 😁i was worried that i didn't have a good ricipe to make an easy pie 😱 i have to go busy making the pia bye😝😜😛😍😋😗😙😘😚😖💋
you guys should do a traditional southern banana pudding but with toasted meringue on top
wow, its a miracle the flourless batter didn't seep through the springform tin! I would line mine with baking paper first, just to be sure
@luchia4tom134

i think thats why it had the biscuit crumb first like a cheesecake to seal the bottom. i could be wrong but it looked like a loose bottom to me not a springform... wait a sec ill double check! 2:01 huh it was your right! huh... maybe its a good quality tin so the design itself prevents leakages?
We made a video of our trip to Cacao70 in TORONTO. All the chocolatey goodness 😍😍🍫🍫🍫
Love the Matilda throwback with the spelling! =D Highly entertaining! I think I might just have to try out this recipe - looks and sounds amazing!

I thought of Matilda too, but in school we learned to spell Mississippi by doing the same kind of rhythm. Actually, I learned it "M-i-double s-i-double s-i-double p-i".

Looks delicious... I live in the US and have heard of this, but never tried it. (...and dang, that was a lot of drops of vanilla!)
Amazing spelling skills, Jamie. Almost as good as my 8 year old nephew. Well done
cute jamie!!
YOUR BUTTER WAS NOT FULLY MELTED, SINNERS!!! (no just kidding, I love your recipes)
Amazing
My favourite food
Amazing Pie! Although I find 35 mins doesn't cook the cake long enough - probably me - but I normally have to cook for longer.
Look so tasty, i love chocolate
yummy!
Ben makes me feel like I've done a full workout just by watching him whip cream cos he even swirls back and forth while whipping
I'm doing that!
Heck yeah for anything chocolate!!
That is the cleanest mud pie I've ever seen lol
Can we please have the bloopers for this video!! I just want to see how many times it took for Jamie to spell Mississippi every time.
I *always* think that oreos taste better as a crumb than a biscuit.

+Kalliste Same here. If you have to dunk it just to eat it or take to pieces to get to the "good stuff", it's not very good as a cookie/biscuit. Surprisingly though I do like sandwiche cookies/biscuits, just not really Oreo. Too dry I think. Personally, I like the lemon ones. Ooo a lemon chiffon cheesecake with lemon sandwiche cookie/biscuit crumbs in it!! With candied lemons for garnish... OMG that would be amazing!! Now... How do we make it? LOL ~I have friends that keep asking me what I mean when I say biscuit... Here in the US, biscuit is something entirely different than a cookie. But at the same time, I enjoy using words in their original British some times. So I put both so whomever is reading will get the drift. ^_^;; Yeah, I'm weird. XD~
@kalliste01

kstormgeistgem yeah I find them a bit plain by themselves but enjoy them in icecream or drinks.. or as cake bases like this. We don't get much variety of Oreos here (Australia) so it's usually just the normal one. And yes! It took me a while to work out why someone would want to eat biscuits with gravy :D Both of which are very different things here. I use both biscuit and cookie as words. To me, a biscuit is like an oreo or is hard and a bit smaller where as a cookie is big and chewy and squishy!

+kstormgeistgem If you like sandwich biscuits you have to try CUSTARD CREAMS!
I just finished watching the Mississippi Mud Pie recipe video by Sallys Welt and then I see you uploaded a video with the same recipe. Coincidence?
Yes, Ben I do find that oreos make a better base sometimes rather than a cookie
Can you guys make a recipe for a Carrot and Beetroot cake? I have the ingredients, very keen on trying that, maybe with a Lemon Cream Cheese icing!
My math teacher one told me his Mississippi mud pie recipe, and I'll tel you, these are the best freaking pies in the whole world
I live in Mississippi and I've only had it once. Gotta change that soon.
W-H-E-R-E I-S B-A-R-R-Y-?
that flourless would be great topped with some peanut butter buttercream frosting and a drizzle of chooclate ganache
This video gave me cavities I swear
Hey how about the next thing do a variation of tres leeches it's a three milk cake that's awesome
The trick Ben showed us in the peach raspberry tart thing with the sugar and flour worked great but what if was making a meat pie I'd guess sugar and beef don't wok well together?
