Thanks so much JC. It’s a pretty great pack. Dare I say an actually hydration EDC. The padded laptop pocket is clutch too. Act fast. Most colors are sold out already!

Congrats on your marriage. Kinda late on that, lol, but new here. Do you have an opinion on what a good first bag to get from MW? I wasn't into their bags, but they've grown on me in the past few months. I'm open to all materials and layouts.

Thanks! This is a hard question to answer bc I don’t know your use case. Is it for work? I’d say the Khyte or Rhake? Is it for one bag to do it all, go with the Vandal or Rambler. Adventure and longer trips? Radian. Something easy for around town? Sanction. So many options based on your needs. I use the Vandal for grocery runs by bike, the Rhake for everyday including remote working and the Khyte for work at the office. Long trips the Radian is my companion with the Spar.

Hey congratulations on getting married! I realize that it was some time ago but I wish you the best. Great sack by the way. I still have one of the original Sanctions before they extended the roll top which I could see actually getting replaced by the Speedwell. I do love that old Sanction though because you can so easily get in and out of the main which losing my arm in the abyss reaching through a massive tube. This is the same liters with the bonus on the breathable mesh, and water bottle holders which are essential for me. Nice!

Thanks for the well wishes! Still a newlywed technically! What’s this original Sanction you speak of? The current one is a flap down. Is yours different?

@@MissionWorkshopReviews Your are welcome! Yeah, so the old Sanction was only the back flap. The front and sides didn't exten like a tube. I am sure they did it for water resistance so that there is material to fold over itself, but that is exactly what I don't like because it's too hard to see in and organize or get things out. The front and sides of mine end just an inch above the top slip pocket which is above and behind the top front small zipper pocket. I can send you a pic if you like.

I just discovered your channel! Great videos and insight! I just ordered and Rhake but won’t arrive till March. Thank you for that video! What is the major difference between the MW X ASP STRATUS RUCK and the Speedwell?? I love the MW X ASP design, but also find the yellow Speedwell practical for my ride commute due to visibility! I don’t think I’ll use the hydration pack as I can carry a bottle or bottles if really needed.

Thanks for finding me! Haven’t posted in a long time now but I still monitor this. Now on to your question: the Stratus has a zipper top while the Speedwell has a flap down.

Hi there. Love your videos. Thoughts on this vs. the Rhake? I have a Rhake, so just trying to see if it’s worth having both. Will be largely used for commuting (and use Rhake now).

Unless you need a hydration pack, stick with the Rhake. The Speedwell is a hydration pack meant for the trails that can also accommodate the office commuter. Not the other way around.

honestly they are two totally separate bags! The only think they have in common is the bladder. If you want a regular sized bag with room for a laptop and also want to use it for hiking, then the Speedwell is the choice. If you want a bag purely for hiking and camping, then I would go with the Hauser. While the Hauser is only 14L compared to the Speewell's 22L, it has a lot more pockets for organization as well as handy straps for securing sleeping bags. The Speedwell is a better all-around bag and the Hauser is a better hiking/camping specific bag.

I am a surfer, scuba diver, free diver, snorkeller, marine biologist. is this bag a dry bag? that is to say will its insides stay dry if i swim across a river with it on my back?

Oh no definitely not. It’s weatherproof. Not waterproof. They use waterproof material but for a true dry bag check out Ortlieb.

That may be a stretch. A 16” MacBook will fit. You may want to contact customer service.
