This is the best bag commercial ever made

I come back and watch this video every once and a while. Today it made me all tear up... this is not about a bag, this transports me to a life that I did not live, in a city I've never been to, usually. Today it took me back to my cycling days, the smell of fresh coffee in the morning, the scent and flavors of going out with friends late at night, meeting friends at random on the street and just riding for fun, not a care in the world... I miss those days and I don't know if they're ever coming back.

Relatable, that's exactly why I'm back watching it again, ten years later. Finding bicycling and bicycling culture (and a joyful coffee obession) was transformative and life changing for me as a lonely young person in a small prairie town. This makes me want to go ride.

I still remember when I first watched this 10 years ago. I was totally mesmerized by The Shed and I gotten myself a Rummy thereafter. Still using it till now.....staying strong!

Been using this back for a year now I have to say that it's awesome! Get one it worth every penny!!

It's the Dia Compe Shot lever, for a single brake but you can use either left or right fingers on it. You can't use both at the same time though.

I owned and used the Rummy for about 1 year. This is an objective review if you are interested. The bag is excellent for regular commuters, professionals and students if you don't need to constantly dig your hands into the bag. As others have noted, the deep rear pocket isn't easy to work with especially if you have multiple items stashed in there. I rarely ever used the bag in roll top form because it was a pain to constantly unfold. This defeats the purpose behind messenger bags: simplicity.

Part 2: The front pockets can store phones, wallets and keys but surprisingly, its too small for a standard U-lock. The lock will stick out part of the way and force the flap into an awkward looking position. However, there is a cool hidden pocket behind the two front pockets and lap top compartment. The strap is good but not perfect. You can easily switch sides from left to right in seconds. The buckle is strong, simple and easily adjustable. Padding is somewhat cheap with standard mesh.

Excellent video, especially if you know Paris and like bicycles!

I recently invested in the competition(Pac) because they are fellow Canadians and make awesome stuff but I admire the design of this bags roll top.

These bags outer shells, though very well constructed, are lint, dirt, and dust traps. I can only imagine what It'd be like for someone who has a dog that sheds a lot

+KnowYourHistory Chrome Industries has started using rubber material for the outer shell for their higher priced bags. I have 3 Chrome bags and 3 Mission bags, I have a bag fetish, and my mission bags are all lint traps.

i've got this messenger bag, really nice, well built but the one negative point is that you cant carry heavy stuff for long distance coz ur shoulder will feeeell it...

That's a cool messenger bag.

The Rummy is ideal for regular commuters, not Pro Couriers. For something a bit stronger and rugged, I'd go for PAC Designs or Bailey Works. MW tends to be pricier than their competitors but its superior in terms of design and use of materials. The question is, does the price point justify these improvements? It's a judgment call and I say buy it if you will use it every day and don't mind the fold down flaps. If you need a bit more room and do a fair amount of walking, go for a backpack.

Maybe I'll buy one soon.

I just received my AP series slate Monty. Perfect!

Part 3: The material used on this bag is top notch and very strong--almost too strong. It feels very stiff and harsh especially on hot summer days. There is no back padding to shield you and the bag itself does not conform perfect against your bag. Instead, it hangs almost horizontally. Yes, it is most certainly rain proof but for whatever reason, the cordura fabric on this bag stains easily from unexpected contact with pavement or colored surfaces.

Does anybody know the exact brands of components of the fixed gear bike in the video? I really love that bike!

Part 4: On the positive side, the bag looks very cutting edge and high end. If you're a working professional, this bag is ideal for daily commutes. On the negative side, the bag isn't suited for urban cyclists who make constant stops at the library, cafe, record store, etc. There are other bags on the market which features the simplicity of a cavernous space, large flap, soft split strap, etc. With that said, this bag is OK. I don't think my user experience matches the internet hype.

want this bag. @yosup84 looks like a trispoke, one of the specialized or ZIPP ones to me, cheapest you're likely to find one of those for is 500 GPB. alternatively, if by some possibilty you aren't aware of them, aerospokes are 5-spokes, supposedly bombproof, relatively cheap at around 280-300 GBP (although the price is always rising)

Rummy would probably be big enough for ya. Get a courier backpack. The messenger bag is good for cyclists but after awhile the strap really gets to ya if your constantly walking with it.
