I just took this in Multicam as my personal item to Riviera Maya for a week to use as my daily carry, along with my Peak Design Travel backpack. Inside this I was able to pack a smallish camera cube at the top which held my Sony A7iii, and FE24-105/F4 G Zoom lens, and then a Medium Topo full of snacks, first aid kit, and two other small Topo pouches. Worked great! I could pull the camera out the top and access all my other necessities via the front pouch or side zipper access. The one thing I will say is that the backpacks straps make it way nicer to carry if it's loaded with weight over the day. I used it on a hike yesterday, and didn't even feel like I had anything there. Zero fatigue. I never like the "pull" of slings on my shoulder over a long period of time, but it has an excellent sling strap as you mentioned. It's 8L BTW. It is awesome that it holds the 15" MBP!!! That's genius. I didn't even think about putting mine in there. I'm curious if the 12" Ipad Pro will fit in this sleeve? Do you by any chance know? I'm trying to decide which to get with the keyboard.

Hey Brandon - thanks for sharing your experience with us, we love hearing what works for you. It sounds like you have a great system going on here. The device sleeve will only fit a tablet up to 10.5" - hope this helps! 😊 - Rebecca

@@PackHacker2 Sanction and Fraction 20L and 14L (and could you also try them on). They're so close to right for me. They seem to have a lot of good features and some misses. Me, I'm looking for a durable, sleek (but practical), everyday pack with lots of easy to reach compartments (I wish Mission had added one more pocket on their cell attachment so I could add my Metrocard and an outside water bottle compartment to prevent leakage inside. I wonder why they didn't add it). Comfortable and sturdy straps a must (that they seem to do this well). If it swings to the side, even better. Their bags do not, I don't think. On and off is a pain in the neck because I overload (I blame myself. I can't come home so I stuff). I like the Mission pack look but open to others - Not Peak. Saw your review, which was fab, but the bag is not for me. Too many potential negatives but a lot of plusses for others. Outside water bottle/coffee bottle access would be great (to prevent spills inside). Love the three outside pockets of these two packs. Very rare. I'm female, 5'6," do a lot of walking in lousy neighborhoods in NYC for my job as a city poverty-fighter. Gotta be able to hold a 13" laptop, charging gear, gym wear, though I'm thinking of sacrificing all for this sling. Might need multiple bags. Oy. Open to Mission and others. Looked at so many. There's always something missing. Your wisdom helps a lot. TY!

It's nice to see a video with the bag in a sort of "used condition". Great to see what it looks like after being used for a while. Do you think you can swap out the fidlock by yourself? Or do you have to take it to the Mission Workshop for that?

Hi: A couple of questions...it looks huge visually, but is it light and something you can throw around? Also wonder how stain resistant and versatile it is. Is it ok as a personal item or at the gym or on a city trail without looking out of place?

Looks neat, but like, for 220 dollars? Nah. Also not crazy about how chunky the adjustment grab handle is, it kind of kills the sleek aesthetic for me.

I paused at the price too, what’ll make the decision for me is the extent to which it can double up as other types of bags. If it can function in the gym on a short hike and commuting to the office for me it eliminates a lot of bags. Agree it’s pricey.

How robust are these magnetic Fitlocks? I have had a bad experience with the Timbuk2 magnetic buckles on their ESPECIAL STASH MESSENGER BAG. They popped open while wearing the thing and dumped out my stuff. I never can have that happen again. Eager to try Mission Workshop stuff but many seem stocked out
